It looks good but we need more pics to form an accurate judgement.

I hope they made a good use of a ground clearance document (source Airbus) that was published some time ago ...

Making model planes is a team work between those who are able to make the mould and those who have the information to make an accurate model.

Jean Pierre.

PS : I forgot to say, thank you Tonka for sharing, greatly appreciated !

No doubt that we'll have beautiful models.
Unfortunately, the A 340s were killed by the evolution of the ETOPS rules and the B 777 s which were more economical to operate (two engines instead of four).

Just look at this one, one of my favorite models.

It's a pity that AF didn't order any of these planes, as I said, the B 777 was more economical …

One of the only aircraft that has grace even close to a 747 and 100x better looking than the more recent hideous A380 and A350 from airbus

Yep I agree, I believe the A340-500/600 is the '747' the Airbus Company never had...

JCW's first release on this mould with the A345 IN SIA "Leadership" colours
HAS to be ONE of the most iconic liveries on this airframe - elegant and stylish .
What a ability this aircraft had - the service it provided , being the longest scheduled route !
Can't wait to get mine , after trading my Herpa 1/400 version on ebay a few months ago !

I'm thinking about going with the "Leadership" version too. I remember when the service on the A340-500 started with SIA to New York. I want this one!

Just one feedback based on the sample that Tonka shared. I think the inlet ring is a little too long. I can't really tell what is the exact measurement of that inlet ring judging from the photo but I reckon it would be very close to the 1:1 if they reduce the length by half (maybe, just maybe).

What do you think?

You may be right, I attach an Airbus document, of course, it is only a drawing but usually, they are correct.

… but as I already said, my concern will be the wing flex and the ground clearance, it's important not to repeat the mistakes of the A 340-300.
