@JTS97Z28 Yeah, I think I recall seeing something about that.. The reason for me making this model, is because I am a HUGE AirTran fan, and now that they went out of business, I'm kinda ''sad'' they did, so I feel like I need the whole AirTran and ValueJet fleet, as ValueJet became AirTran, and I love both liveries.
@DC-Jets I have a photo of it with coat #1 of white spray paint, I didn't do the belly of it yet, plus if you looked at it closely, you can sort of make out a grayish plastic near the tail, and near where the wings would snap in. So, I'll put a second coat on it, and should be good to go for decals, and then off to detailing the wings. I expect to be done around the end of the month, with landing gear installed and wing corogards decaled. I'm also considering detailing the fuselage of my 1:200 AirTran 737-700, as well as decaling the wings. So stay tuned for that (not), it may take awhile to get the decals, and finish this DC-9. Also, not only is the project fun, but its also inspirational, as I was inspired by B-16707 for this
BTW: Something I didn't put in the original post is that I intend to keep this model snap-fit, because I actually like snap-fits better than diecast, as they are very easy to store with my growing collection, and if a wing falls off, I usually can just snap it back in. I'll post pics of the model tomorrow, so stay tuned!!
