stunning model! very temped to pick one up. But has anyone ever noticed that the props are molded for anti-clockwise rotation (when viewed from the back)? they spin the wrong way

That seems to be an unfortunate trait that Herpa has. Many of their fine prop models are affected by this and it has been brought forward to Stephan Külgen (Wings Director) on several occasions over the recent years. The best way many of us get around this is by closing one eye, and squinting with the other, or by not blowing on the props. More disturbing is when they add the de-icing boots on the wrong edge!! That 'nasty' is always visible.

I too wish they'd address these ongoing issues, as I really like a lot of Herpa's prop models, but it won't stop me from buying the ones I'd like for other reasons.

When the engines are stopped, the propellers are feathered (to make the story short, in this configuration they deliver no thrust and they have the minimum drag), so it's difficult to say.

But I confirm that on the real aircraft, propellers are turning clock wise when seen from the pilot seat.

It's true that for some reason, on some models, the de icing boots are still on the trailing edge …

That said it is an excellent model, I have the flybe. bought long time ago as a First Choice model.

Jean Pierre.

What's everyone's opinion on the Gemini version? Which is better?
