Question B717 a new mold coming true?

I just watched this picture on a Facebook group showing what it could be a new 1:200 mold, the B717-200.

Are we finally going to have the airframe in diecast?

Very exciting! We can almost certainly expect Delta and Hawaiian but I hope we see others. AirTran in the most recent colors and the Baltimore Ravens livery???

Apart from the Mexicana oneworld I would also like to see Impulse regional airlines that Qantas swallowed up plus Qantas old and new livery's, the Qantas Link Tasmanian Special & Jetstar. Looks a little like a European collector post but it's not.
just some ideas thrown in to the mix. BTW 2016 or 2017 is fine for these to be done. I think I am done for this year with 8 Qantas releases one Ansett ANA and everything Simons Great Australian Airlines releases

So I'm curious about the 717 model. Gemini has already released a MD87 which correct me if I am wrong has a lot of similarities. So technically since Gemini has DC9 and MD87 molds, couldn't thy theoretically just piece together parts from each and have a 717 and only have to make new engines?
-MD87 fuselage and pointy tail
-DC9 wings
-new 717 BMW/Rolls engines

Hmmn. While it's only a single pic and not a great angle, it looks like it may have the "common" 717 error---even many drawings are wrong:

The 717 does not have an MD-87/90 tail. It only has the vertical stab of the -87/90. It retains the smaller tailplane of the DC-9-30. Its tail is a unique combination of "DC-9 parts".

This model's tailplanes look fairly wide-span and sleek, like an MD-80/90's, not the stubbier ones of the standard DC-9.

Ha I noticed that too ...the wing may be too long...wing should be more like dc-9-30 not md-80...interesting tidbit Dave about the shape of horizontal stabilizer

Based on that pic those definitely aren't MD80 wings as the MD80 series aircraft trailing edge isn't straight like the DC9/717 aircraft.
I was never aware though the different lengths of the horizontal stabilizers so that's great information to know. The nose of that white sample model above seems to be pretty accurately shaped. Looks great!
Like I said above, I'm 100% in for a TWA 717 :-)
