I guess the diagram for G-BDXL was done in a hurry...the engines should definitely NOT be GE CF6s!!!

Thanks, Robert. It's exciting to see a Landor 747. I missed the 744. Will be interesting to see what the quality is like. I don't own any JFOX models. Thanks again for the heads up on these releases.

Cheers,
AB

Are these two an ARD exclusive, or will other retailers be offering them for sale too?

They should have just re released the regular Landor 747-400 as well. The first release had paint cracking issues

I am sure they must have learned from that mistake and will take appropriate action.

Will buy B742.

Looking forward to both of these.... I suspect that the belly cracking issue was specific to the batch of the original BA Landor 744... I have a custom of the BAA - but of course it has the belly cracks from the donor model..

Inflight 200 British Asia Airways Landor 747-400 G-CIVA

Looks like my custom will be re-registered when the new arrival lands so that I can keep both in my fleet.

The 742 Landor is a first, custom or not, and is a MUST HAVE. Great releases!

Now - what about that RR powered BA 767-300 in Landor?????

Amen to that. It used to be months between "must have" releases. Now it is several per month.

I got mine the other day. Beautiful model. I was taking some pictures and found they had messed up the "To fly to serve" credo. On mine is says "To fly to sewve." The amount of detail that goes into these things, and then to have a silly spelling mistake on it. Really annoying.

Have both of these models from ARD, both nice models, only little niggle I thought the fuselage top should be more of a lightish grey, and not white.

Yes, the upper fuselage should be pale grey. You'd think JFOX would have determined this when researching.

iirc, wasn't there a 'white top interim' livery. years ago used to have a 1/400 netmodels landor 747 with white top 'interim' colours. G-BNLO

http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...iew-10538.html

picking mine up from ARD @ heathrow show next month.

I thought it looked a little anemic. I thought it was my eyes, or the light I was looking at it in.

I'm glad to finally have a BA Landor 747 in the fleet though. gladder still I got it on pre-order before the eBay crooks quadrupled the price.

Also got the B742 one and I beg to differ a bit on the grey color. I feel that the grey selected is the same as used on the Voyager BAe 146 and not as grey as on the JC Wings B757. My pictures are not the best, however likely to get an impression. Not sure which grey comes closest to the original.

Also noticed the mistake in the "To fly to serve" credo, I believe that is also wrong on the JC Wings one. At least the box art on that one has it wrong...

Nevertheless all Landors are great models and I am very proud to have them in my collection.

At least it doesn't say "To Fly, To Swerve."

Regarding the comments on the upper fuselage colour - it is definitely not white; it's a pale blue-grey. Here it is next to a Herpa Lufthansa A340-600 for comparison. This City of Winchester 742 is a beauty!
