Here she is on top of the pedestal at Whitehorse in the Yukon Territory.

Evidently the pedestal swivels so that the aircraft always is turned into the wind - Hence, the world's largest weather vane!

This is one that I proposed to William nearly a year ago. We've been working together with the help of the Yukon Transportation Museum and a heap of archival photographs of this aircraft to get the markings just right. Since starting on this one, I've moved to Whitehorse and I see this bird on my way to work every day! I'm very excited to add this one to my collection. This one is very personal and near and dear to me.

All we need now is a TCA DC-3 and Viscount [hint]. Maybe the Wardair DC-6B as well.

Here's a shot I took of CF-CPY in early April. She used to be the gate guardian at Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport (YXY), but due to planned airport expansion, she was moved a block up the road to the Yukon Transportation Museum. Both are visible from the front doors to the airport terminal building.

Both would be very welcome additions to the family.

If you have Williams ear, ask about a run of 'blanks' for each of the HM piston pounders.

To be honest, blanks aren't something that appeal to me. Besides, I'm working on something else with William right now.

Here's a video showing how the plane moves in a gusty wind: http://youtu.be/lSIDOIGLxEM

There's also a book written about this famous lady and some good info here: Lady on a Pedestal

I just emailed William to see if there are 4-way drawings or pre-production pics and was informed that "it has gone for production now." Should see this bird soon!

So how much work is a blank?

I concur. We constantly hear the I want to see a... requests for liveries that might not make economic sense to release but which could easily be made using a blank and decals. What I have suggested is to do a run od DC-3's as blanks, and IF they sell well, follow up with runs of all the HM 1/200 props every couple of months.

I've never seen HM do a blank. Not to say they won't, but I think Gemini would be more likely for this.

Got one coming to me. This one hits close to home because I see this plane every single day. It cannot be missed in my collection.
