Gemini American Boeing 767 NC

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anybody got their Gemini American 767-300 in the new color scheme yet. On the fence about this one. Any pictures or opinions?

Comparing to the 777-300ER, would you rather recommend the 767 or the 777?

Thanks very much for your help!

Kind regards

Markus

Re: Gemini American Boeing 767 NC

It all depends on your collecting criteria. The 777-300 is beautiful, and it's a relatively new addition to the fleet. The 767-300 has been a workhorse for AA since 1988, and it's seeing the end of its long career. So if you want the brand new jet in the AA fleet, get the 77W. If you just want a classic airliner in the new livery, get the 763.

Also, there's a big difference in price between the two, with the 77W being more expensive and harder to find since its release last August. Space is another consideration- 77W boxes are quite large and use up a lot of closet space. I should know- I must have 15 777-200s and 777-300s, and I'm running out of room!

Biased opinion, go for the 77W, having one myself I can tell you with certainty that it is an impressive and beautiful plane. But Kevin does make good points that it will be harder to find, larger, and more expensive. All that being said, if they come out with an AA 767 NC with winglets, I will find that hard to resist.

I have them both, the 763 NC I think it's understated it really is a nice model. I got it cause o collect AA, I wish it was released with the winglets tho, but my trip to Paris was on this exact AA 763 without the winglets so I'll take it. Besides it gives it that retro without winglets feel and a new feel with new colors in one model

And if you can't decide, how about getting the AA 787-8? I got mine last month, and it looks even cooler, more modern than the 77W. I wasn't really a fan of the lines of the Dreamliner until I had my hands on the model and it really is incredible!

I've been thinking about getting this 767 too, maybe.

I have the 77W and the 787 and love them both! That AA 787 model is really super nice!

I'd get the 763, it's worth it, looks and feels a lot better in person

One in each specially marked Gemini jets box. Each sold separately.... Collect them all! I cast my vote for the 763. That is a really nice one. In fact, Gemini's 763 mould is fantastic!

The American 767 is a nice model... i only wish the version had winglets... great model nonetheless, as AAFans great photo above shows...

The 77W and 787 are also great releases... aswell as the A330...

I have all Gemini American releases and happy with them all :)

I've got all the AA GJ200 releases, except the A330 that's not AA, and I'm happy with them all

thanks all! This is really helpful.

I usually only collect planes that I have been on. I flew the AA 767 in the OC back in '05 or so. Having missed that release I am very tempted to add this pretty bird to my collection.

Again thanks to all, this has been very helpful!

Kind regards

As of April 8, 2015 it is. ;)

Mine looks quite good with her Boeing counterparts.

Interesting that Gemini did not put the Operated by US Airways on the A333. Even though this release came out prior to the single operating certificate. On the 767 note it is a great model. I would highly recommend it. :D
