Default Jet-X 1/200 747-400 KLM PH-BFA atlanta

Just pre-ordered the above mentioned.
Did not even know Jet-X was planning this but knowing them it is bound to be gorgeus model.

Another one??? How many KL744 in current colours must we have before we get a delivery colours KL744?? Or a 743? A bit overflow if you ask me and I am really a KLM collector.. But for me this is just too much.. Wish they did a del. col. Instead...

Im guessing Inflight too... Jet-X previous 747 releases as well as their DC-10 and L1011 were all on Inflight moulds.

I'm sure this one is too.

No, not bad. But I think Inflights last KLM 747-400 is still available.

The price for the Jet-X model is 30 euros higher then the bb model. I wonder what warrants such an elevated price tag.

A lot of people have long wondered this! Inflight models, same as Jet-X always more expensive than Blue Box, JC Wings or Gemini. Don't know why.

Correct me if i am wrong but i do believe that Jet X produces in less numbers.
The Upcoming Mohican ANA L1011 for instance are produced in low quantities.

Makes sense. There is rarity to consider when investing in these models.

This is an excuse for the higher price, actually they make all 747s at the same time, may be 90% the same on every model, by putting different reg. and ship name, with/without the 95th Years logo, can do over 10 releases if they want to, easy job for the factory, but 30 Euros more?

Its a good thing I didn't go into this hobby as an investor. I bought my original issue IF200 KLM 747-400 at the very height of the market, and paid a princely sum indeed. I was thrilled to finally receive my model, one I had been chasing for a long time. Then, the new and re-releases started. Now, we have such a glut of KLM 747 models flooding the market, the values have completely tanked. If I was to put my model up for sale today, it would probably only bring 30% of what I paid.

I fail to understand why every manufacturer has decided to release essentially the same model. I really doubt there are that many collectors waiting to snap up these new releases. Certainly eBay is flooded with them at the moment.

It amazes me that people are so naive. Jet-X, Inflight200, Aviation200, original BBOX, J-FOX are all one and the same. Jet-X is the same stuff as Inflight, just a name to hide from the licensors or in this case just an additional money grab. The only reason ARD is able to have it for reasonable prices along with some other people in Europe/Asia is that they purchase the models direct cutting out the additional middlemen that occurs when the model goes state side. As long as people keep supporting the shenanigans Bob Cass will keep taking your money.

Demand and supply my friend nothing more nothing less.
I am sure the moment the model leaves the factory it is most likely worth 50 dollars.

I think we all agree that the "limited editions" of models are no longer valid.. even with inflight, a rerun of a model is always possible (klm, air force one etc). On the other hand it is also a good thing so that new collectors also have a chance to own the model that they want. But don't advertise your models anymore as very limited editions manufacturers!

That said, I love this hobby and will keep on buying them, but a strike might work haha!

100% correct, and you know the reason, ADR got them much cheaper, they are the boss of IF, that mean even same price tag as JC, they can make more money on every IF/Jet-X/JFox/AV200/BBOX(IF)sold
