The model looks a bit ridiculous on the stand with those super curved wings but looks okay on the ground. Now that JC has a model without that nasty wing mount and (I hope but it will not be fully clear until a plain livery comes out) better nose/cockpit shape, I wonder how IF will hold up...
Hopefully the competition drives a much needed quality/accuracy increase. It's already given us some special liveries with many more to come!
Indeed they are curved, this is a mould that started without a hole and a stand, so it represents a 747-400 on the ground, fully loaded for departure!
Im glad you and others have a choice, in the end the collector is the one who wins.
Got mine from ARD yesterday, Trev initially thought he'd sold out, but after turing over a few boxes we found the last last one in stock...happy days!
Yes, the nose shape may not be perfect, and yes, the engines have the wrong printing on the spinner cones (not to mention also that on RR engines, the spinners are conical rather than dome shaped) but I don't care, this is one sexy looking bird, glad I managed to get in before they sold out! Thanks again Rui, it was your photos of this bird that convinced me to buy it, and I've no regrets at all!

model is very nice, I have my model too, but arrived with the front wheel loose, not broken, so I will fix that tomorrow and will post my photos here too.
Cathay 747 Jumbos are the best!
You have more 747 s too, Varig and El Al?
These are new ones too, right?
They are all very nice.
Thank you for showing.
It is funny what annoys you. My pet peeve is the lack of the hump (angle change) on the forward tip of the inboard pylons. The have it on the outboard pylons, but forgot to include them on the inboard ones. For me, it is one of the distinguishing features of the RR engine pylons. It makes them different than other 747s.
Mildly annoying? Yes. But it still didn't keep me from pre-ordering this one.
She is a beauty!!
