Unhappy Re: Spring arrivals

I hate IF200 to mess up that AIR CHINA B744 with those "angry" V-looking cockpit windows

My only hope is that they will do it better on the upcomimg Government version

Hello gentlemen, thanks for the comments.

Well, a big part of my Herpa Premiums/Modell Edition have been purchased via eBay but some of them have been bought from DA.Cers too. Something like 70% eBay to 30% DA.C members.

This particular 727 was a home run as I only paid for it 73€ ($80USD approximately). I am so glad to have her in my 727 collection now, it's one of the most beautiful T-tail that flew the skies in the 90's. The livery suits very nice on it, if I had the UA B744 "Battleship", that would be the perfect combo.

The Air China was a recent model of interest for me. Some months ago, the 1st Minister of China visited to Mexico, I spotted the aircraft and thought it has a nice scheme. Coincidentally, travsuz was selling his model and I have to say it was a great purchase. I don't complain about the V shaped windshield that much, I am not that picky. Just tell me which model has been perfectly made? No one, not even Herpa Premiums. Life is too short to get focus in minuscules things.

Last night I was making a quick count of my 747s, guess I am in very very close to 50. Including IF200, BBOX, JC, Hogan and Herpa. I have a couple more in pre-order, and 2 more are on its way to my home. So, many models more to come up this year. Long live the queen of skies!

Greetings!!!

It is a nice addition, I have the hope to see this jumbojet be done in metal. Also LH B744 "Star Alliance" Duisburg.

It is a limited Hogan model from 2011, distributed by Limox (Germany). Try looking at european retailers, or in the worst case, at eBay Germany. And don't forget to buy a set of landing gears, they are not included with the aircraft model.

Good Monday!

Thank you and Vandan for the comments!

Are you talking about the Herpa B747 as a mold or just for a specific model?

Honestly, I don't like the actual mold Herpa uses these days, I am talking about the B747-400. The wings, the engine pylons and specially the landing gears suck. It was a way much better the previous mold, the one that used to share Herpa and Hogan. Actually, I think Hogan has the best 747-400 plastic mold, the retooled nose and printed windshield make a big difference. As for B747-8, well, I think Herpa has the best mold.

Greetings!

I think i agree with you, i greatly admire the Hogan B744 mould especially the retooled nose. Just that there is no release that fits my criteria as of yet
