That's an impressive collection, i didn't know there were that many one world models. They look good on the glass units.

Here's mine. I just started my collection in earnest back in December, but have had a couple of these for years. Working on the Delivery Flight Line at Boeing's Everett factory, I am trying to get a 1:400 of every type in every livery and paint scheme I worked on and delivered. So far, I have all but two of my 747-8s, but I still need 10 more 787s. Once someone releases a correct KC-46 model, I will be adding that as well. The rest of my collection is Russian metal, with two odd balls.

The display case is a old Ikea Besta cabinet that I have re-purposed and was able to buy new glass doors for. Eventually, I am wanting to get custom all glass doors made, since I am not a fan of the wide wood borders on these.

Thanks Lesley. I dont have the space to display my oneworld collection, so I emptied out one a while ago for cleaning. Then filled it with my oneworld collection. This is how it turned out. Thomas is right about the plain white neutral white walls. When I move into the next room I will paint the walls a light grey colour.

here are updated oneworld photos as I missed uploading a few onto photobucket. Link below

Thank you Simon. By the way I do love the new Vietnam A350 livery 100%. Also love their 777's that fly here into Sydney at the moment. Another airline that is welcome into collections. Now we need a few more oneworld like TAM, any aircraft, SirLankin A330-243 4R-ALH, & of course Qatar hoping for a a A350 oneworld should she arrive so I can get a A350 into my collection at least. You can almost bank on a CX A350 oneworld

I saw the Vietnam A350 roll out video on youtube and was blown away by it. I can't wait for Gemini to do it, we have their 787 coming in Heathrow now. I haven't got any oneworld models so will into getting some, i do like the normal Srilankin livery does anyone do a model of that? I love 777 models that's what i have most of. I like the size of them they're very impressive models, thought i have got into 787s recently. It would be great if GJ or JCW released the Azerbajian 787, that's another stunning plane and i believe that has started to come to Heathrow too!

Lovely collections everyone <3
Well I don't only collect planes, but many things, I am one of those collectors of varied interests

As aircraft models go Airliners & Freighters are 1:200, some alternatives are 1:400 & 1:500.
Military Jetfighters & Starfighters are 1:72 as for some old model kits as well

My current aircraft display can be seen here:
http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...ml#post2217585

I do have something fabulous coming up soon, which is the following:

Boeing 747SP-38
Qantas "Retro Livery"
VH-EAA
Scale 1:200
Inflight 200

That image ^^^ I found on ebay via google images, just used it for reference

For now I wait with making pics of my Aircraft collection, just need to add a few more new ones even after that SP-38, around April I make new total shots of everything
Just gotta make new space etc, always a time consuming thing

Wello I have to admit that Hogan like Herpa did amazing pastic models and sometimes they have a livery that isn't diecast metal, also they tend to be more accurate than most metal models, same as how plastic model kits are accurate in most ways.

Plastic is easier to mold it seems also cheaper to produce, but then again 60 a 70 euro's can be paid for a good scale 1:200 plastic model as well, it all depends on who made it and how well detailed it is.

Agree, they are very quite accurate, non of the diecast 777 can compare accuracy with the old hogan 777 so far . But they getting there, the newer mould are pretty accurate, but just hope they can do a better job for the landing gear

@ Justin Merlin

Well as landing gear goes, it all seemed alright for both plastic & diecast metal models, although adding extra details like hydraulic tubing for the breaks, some probes, antenna's and such would also be more than welcome.
Even that may increase the price a tad, it should all still be very doable, since is aircraft model collectors buy models for the accuracy right?
Not everyone can do such things, people that have disabilities, arthritis (me included) or other disabilities, these desktop models are the perfect solution to that.

Companies need to apply more efforts for that part.
Just my two cents on that.

Here's my Hogan B773 ER , my uncle that lived in Thailand used to fly this aircraft in Business class from Phuket to Amsterdam for holidays and family visits

Boeing 777-300 ER
Thai Airways "New Livery"
Scale 1:200
Hogan Wings

The other one is:

Boeing 747-400-F
TNT "Global Express Logistics & Mail"
Skymarks Models
Scale 1:200

And I am happy with that one. don't need a metal one if the plastic one gets the job done right, as for the B747-8i there isn't much choice, yet I still hope for more B748 liveries as well, just to enlarger our choice range.
The B773 just dwarfs the B744F rofl

I've seen these in Ikea, and it looked like there's no good way to add shelves to it. Please tell us how you did it. Thanks.

Lovely collections everyone all collections are wonderful looking imo, big or small, never been important to me, after all all the same interest we have as aviation models go, leaving out the varieties then.

Here is my collection, still gonna try and add two more B747's in there before IKEA is my destination, may get an IKEA Billy to place all my jets in there so I can add more 1:200 diecast queens in here:

always a surprise what I add in there

I don't have display cases for my 1:200 models. Instead, I use the top shelf of a bookcase to rotate airlines/airliners over a given period. As you can see, this includes airline related items to the specific models.

IKEA has many good solutions, my cabinets are all from IKEA, you can also make your own custom glass cabinets, might be more work but I seen some do that as well

Not much space in my office so found a cosmetics display case no longer wanted by the owner. Like the idea of something to go with an aircraft model to give it a bit of diorama vibe.

Tony, are you searching classic "all glass" cabinets, or might a "Kallax based solution" be good for you as well? You might search on "Kallax" in this forum...

Do note that the C-5 at the bottom is not kept out in the open, it was just taken with this photo as I updated my collection after just getting it and a few other aircraft. I just dont have anywhere to display the C-5.

I need another glass case. I can’t display my AN-225, C5, a 748, and a 763 model I have. Even the stupid ikea case has gotten too expensive, and won’t fit the AN-225 anyway.

I wish to have a deep enough china cabinet.

No I haven’t installed any lights in the cabinet. Natural daylight is enough for me!

Way to slip in the construction equipment. Looks like 1:50 scale.

I have an open bookcase that is 14 inches deep (TWA) and an 18-inch-deep open dresser cabinet (Piedmont) that works well for 1:200. Granted, I have to dust every once in a while, but that's no big deal.
