I'm wondering if this AA DC-10 is the missing BBOX AA DC-10 that was announced last year.

Some awesome birds here, I would love at least 4 but so many coming out my wallet can't take it...Iran -SP is defo my pick here! Hope I can stretch to the AA -10 as I don't have a polished American -10. If I could I would also get the Boeing -SP, USAF E-4...

Fantastic! If every month is going to be like this them I am going to be broke for sure!

Anyway I'm so happy to see the Avianca 747 carrying my favorite scheme and polished too.

The Boeing House SP is awesome too but I can't afford all 3.

More 747 Jumbos! The orange model with the Lyons face in the tail, is it fantasy? The United States 747 is different and I like it too.
I need to save a few pounds. I received for my birthday another amazing IF 747, my wife Sarah didnt buy the Cathay but she gave me the ANA 747 by Inflight too!
It is a very beautiful model. I can take photographs soon, lunch brake now.
Inflight you spoil me with so many 747 Jumbos, I need to catch up with the rest of you colectors here, but now I have 3 IF Jumbos already.

KLM new livery looks good on the 747s, but very weird on that 777.

Nice releases! The E4-B is very cool, might have to get that one.

When I look at the drawing I have the idea that this is a DH.106 Comet 4B.
Who knows what type of Comet Inflight will be released?

The new announcement from Inflight 200. Dan Air De Havilland Comet 4B G-APZM is due for release in April. All I can say is WOW. This model will be incredibly popular. Fantastic to see, but I do not expect they will last long, as we know that customers have been craving more Comets in more scheme's fo a long time.

Alright Dean,

Nice to come accross another 747 enthusiast which birds have you got so far? The ANA is nice, I got a second hand one some time ago, love it. Is it one of the Pokemon birds or the standard colours?

Cheers

Some tough choices to make here. I have an AA DC-10, but this one could be a nice addition to the collection. I am definitely in for the Avianca 747. The E-4B is tempting, too. Good thing I'll have some time to save up. If we see these here in the U.S. this year, I'll be surprised.

On a side note, looks like prices war has also begun.

Other than maybe the Comet, I'm waiting for either J C Wings or Gemini to release the KLM 777-300ER and Vietnam Airlines A350. I don't trust InFlight's QC lately, and no one has seem the 'new' IF 777-300ER mold.

Although after the Southwest 737, Gemini may be off my pre-order list too.

Andy, hello. My ANA 747 Jumbo is the normal colors, no Pokemon figurines.
But maybe my baby girl would like that one day.
All I have now is three 747 the Air China, Tropical and now ANA.
But I still want the Cathay special colors later, maybe next month.

Maybe it's time for you to start minding your own business.

I'll stop collecting when I stop loving aviation. As a pilot, that is hard to do. What's your excuse?

I think opinions and reservations are important on this forum. They help us make more informed decisions and buy better models. I'll use the Eagle releases as an example. Generally not well received, and many regrets ion the pre-orders. We don't have any idea of what the 'new' InFlight 777-300ER mold will look like until we see some pictures. The Gemini KLM 777-300ER will at least be using the JCW mold, although JCW is redoing the GE90 engines too so who really knows.

IMHO, IF AND Gemini's quality control has been coming down while JC Wings QC seems to be getting better. I don't have $100-150 to throw around, so I want my pre-order money to count. There is nothing that will get me more irritated than pre-ordering a model and have it arrive looking like crap. At least with Gemini's releases, you know the next month. With IF, it could literally be YEARS.

It's all about deciding what flaws really bother you and what flaws you can live with. There are no perfect models, but there are definitely better and worse models.

Doesn't bother me at all.

You just said you were going to change it when someone called you 'Duck Boy' a while back. Just curious is all.

Are the figures still in Hong Kong Harbor?

Yes, it was Mathias that called me DuckBoy, ...but he said he was joking with me and sent me a message. I was ok with that.
I will try use another image, but not sure what. Maybe this time the Jumbo 747 ?!
Dean.

Ps...you are a pilot Mr.CharlieAlpha? What airline? Do you fly the 747? Please dont be upset, just asking.
Dean

I'll stop collecting when I stop loving aviation. As a pilot, that is hard to do. What's your excuse?

I think opinions and reservations are important on this forum. They help us make more informed decisions and buy better models. I'll use the Eagle releases as an example. Haha

I have learned to live with the fact that models aren't perfect.
It is difficult somethimes, but it is not the end of the world....

But you are right, it is annoying when you pre-order a model over the 100€ and gets a model in return with various flaws and off course models differ in their flaws

Or with the KLM 747, I bought the Inflight version, but now JCwings will also produce one, with a nicer mould...

But for answering your question: I'll stop collecting when I don't want to pay for it anymore... so it is easy for me

A pilot? Yes, but I'm retired now. Don't really want to be more specific about the company or the details.

We all have our own reasons for collecting.

But like I have always said, in the end, they are all just expensive toys.

Ah, yeeessss, I aaaammm obssessed, but since Herr Tonka is the nitpicker as he says, and posts a lot here, I am wondering about the quality he talks about, so what are his quality modells?! I am not a metal modell collector, just plastic, but just curious to see his stuff.
Everybody posts now and then, and I will be posting my models, too, 1:200 some I buy some given to me by the airline representatives.
But I keep my models in the boxes, I dont display them around.most Herpas, hogans and Limox, Lupa.
Sooooo....Tonka, show us your modells man!
Mathias.

Dean, your avatr looks good man, dont change it, I tried to change my one and Dac is not doing it?!...so I think you may have problems change it. Keep it DuckBoy!
