Question U.S. Airways A319/A320

Gemini has done a fair amount of the U.S. Airways special liveries, but there are still a handful that are missing - including the current U.S. Airways livery that is slowly disappearing. Is there any support here to see the current livery be released on an A319 or A320? I know there's an A321 release, but I prefer the look of the shorter jets. Not to mention, U.S. Airways doesn't fly the A321 to YVR. 😉

I would also love to see N828AW get a release:

I would take the late 90's US Airways scheme and would love to see it on any Airbus as well as Boeing 733 and 752 and definatly on some RJ's as well.

I would really like for the US Airways A319 in regular livery and in the heritage Allegheny, and America West liveries.

I contacted Gemini a long time ago and asked them if they had plans to do the US Airways America West heritage A319s. They said yes, that all heritage A319s were planned. That was years ago though... And as we all know we never saw the two America West A319s or the Allegheny A319.

Unfortunately now that we have the AA US merger I am doubtful we'll ever see the above mentioned A319s with the US Airways logo. Perhaps they will do them with the American logo.

Honestly I would buy them either way, but it would be nice to have a complete set of them with the US Airways logo.

I will buy anything US Airways/USAir if it comes out! I wish they would complete the heritage fleet not to mention the Steelers logo jet (my #1 spot on my wish list). I'm flying on a US A319 (which I hope gets made now), A320, and 2 A321's in a few weeks. Unfortunately, this may be the last time I fly on them.

Gemini has released 2 A320's in the current livery, one being N106US which landed in the Hudson. Let's see one in the 1990's livery though!

That 80's American West plane is still wearing US Airways last I saw. It was in Vancouver a few weeks ago. Although, so was the Battle Born which is now in standard American colours.

Regardless, it's not as if vintage liveries aren't popular anyway.

Me too!!! Would like to have all of these. But I'll bet we will never see these done now that US Airways is going away. I just flew on the American West old livery A319 back in December from Detroit to Charlotte. Lovely plane.

But I do think we will start to see some of the new heritage liveries with the American logo. American hinted on Twitter a few months ago that a TWA heritage was possible. Wouldn't that be cool!

If you are saying they hinted at a TWA heritage aircraft then you won't be disappointed. They are going to be doing a TWA heritage livery as well as Reno Air, and AirCal all on 737s. We've already seen the US Airways A321 heritage livery.

They do tons of classic liveries. Why would you suspect they'll never make another US Airways release? Now would be the time to do it, actually. People are sad to see it go and grasping at any and all US Airways stuff to remember them by.

Plus...look at the support here already? They'd sell well.

I doubt they will do any additional retrojets because if you look G2PSA001 is still in stock after all this time, meaning there really isn't that much demand.

I think we will see some of the American retro jets though. Like the new American / USAirways jet and I think we may see the new American / American West jet.

But it will all depend on a order from American. I don't think it will depend on the demand of the market or what we say here. US Airways ordered those retro jets before for their company store, for employees, etc.

Well I would agree with that if the models they make were based solely on collector demand, but I believe most of their US Airways models were done because of corporate contracts. Meaning US Airways actually ordered them and told Gemini which planes to do. So if US Airways, now American wants a certain plane Gemini is going to make it regardless of how well they think it'll sell to collectors.

Has American ever done a TWA heritage livery? Since the management is from US Airways maybe they will do some heritage liveries after the merger is complete and all the planes are rebranded.

Yes. New American management has said they are doing a TWA, US Airways (already done on an A321), AirCal, and RenoAir heritage liveries to compliment the heritage liveries already on the A319s. The AirCal, RenoAir, and TWA are to be done on 737-800s.
