Colour looks great on the VS, as does the new tooling! The downside is it won't match the previously released a330/a340 fuselage colour, but good to see the greater accuracy here. Well done JC

Good observation. You are right... This Virgin 787 has the most accurate color ever. The Phoenix release has completely wrong colors. I wonder those who have bought the Phoenix one will regret

Just curious because I could think the photo showing the zoomed landing gears was also taken using this same zoom camera?! Do you work at the factory of JC Tonka?! Are you the man himself?!
Coincidences?! it would be fun.

I don't think he would be going back and forth saying he will not buy the 787 if he worked in the factory. The landing light photo was posted on the JC Facebook page and was reposted by him here.

Another member remind me that the weather seal around the nose radom is too thin as shown in the photos, which bother me a lot, I will ask if they can post more photos to prove this.

In any case.. A) the radome lines look fine if you keep scale in mind. They should be less than half as wide as the red tow limit line on the nose lg door. B) if that's the only "problem" with the new JC/GJ 787 line - we're doing pretty good.

He can post pictures in the Facebook and come here and post them again as another member. It is not difficult to see that. why just not say it?

I click on the zoom landing gear picture and a window opens at Photobucket, a certain Stivaskam account...

http://s1327.photobucket.com/user/st...qq9w8.jpg.html

Then I click on the landing light picture also zoom and the same account opens again, Stivaskam account....

http://s1327.photobucket.com/user/st...yoeas.jpg.html

Unless he shares that account with some guy at the factory who took a zoom picture of a landing light,
thats why I asked. So why not confirm it ?!

Tonka, you work at the JC factory right?

As I would say, " Ja, Genau..."
Its so easy to see it.

Tonka, dont be bothered a lot, the 787 weather seal is not too thin, its too small.
Based in some pictures comparison from Aki you need to print the nose / radome cone BIGGER! Almost touching the cockpit windows wipers. Almost, I said! Check the pictures. No need to take more pictures to prove anything, just ask them at the factory to paint a bigger nose, thats all than this 787 will be even more close to real plane!

Wow...I always use this Photobucket account to post photos here since the "Manage Attachments" function of this forum just not working well for me, I copied their photo on FB then uploaded to my Photobucket account, do you mean they are using my photo link on their FB now?

Either too small or too thin is not okay for me, I gave them varies of advices before, I may pass this one because of that.

It is shame they didnt listened to you Tonka. Model still looks good, the windows painted in dark brown look real, I dont like the plastic part making the lights put in that space, but it was a good idea, but sad it makes the wing a mess.I like the wing to be clean looking maybe better with painted lights, photoreal look?
Chill out man, I love your humour posts and specially the zoom pictures showing details. At least this way we know what to expect before spending money and have " surprises". I wil folow your advice too, and pass this one... I wanted a perfect 787, but I think I will keep my old ANA Phoenix for now, and a couple of IF in JC old mould.
Keep at it Tonka!

Keep at it Tonka!
The new JC mould is far far far closer to accurate than either of the models you want to keep because the JC mould has a minor landing light thing that will most likely look better in person.

What do you mean when you say weather seal?
I can see the painted line that makes the radar nose is small, nose must be bigger, as in pictures . If any manufacturer is going to make details why not make right?
Model is looking very nice and I like it too. Can Mr.Tonka and Mr.Ego confirm the Boeing colors too?
I like that one too.thank you.

Yes, I am the one being those names as you call me, no more picky than some of you who have mentioned other less then perfekt details before in other models.
If a manufacturer wants to be number 1 ( isnt that the goal hier?!) and is having all the trouble to make up a accurate model like painting brown windows and even including little plastic parts to show lights, why not make that nose in scale too?
Thats all I mention, model is nice and I plan buying the Boeing colors I saw at Farnborogh last year with my brother. If JC makes it of course.
This is what I say, look at it JC and look at your model.
The line or weather seal or radome nose line whaever must almost touch the wipers above.
You can make it, camon!

I would love to jump on the AA 787.
Because they have not been official announced by Gemini yet. These were a pre-release hint.

[QUOTE=AirbusHouse;1153771]Yes, I am the one being those names as you call me, no more picky than some of you who have mentioned other less then perfekt details before in other models.

I can't agree more!!

I've found i get only around half of my money back on resales generally, especially when they're still available absolutely everywhere. I throw far too much money at diecast aircraft as it is

It would be nice to see the 787 with LAN's new livery as well. Haven't seen any LAN material from GJ.

I would so shell out the money to buy any new livery LAN product in a heart beat.
