Exclamation Inflight200 AeroMexico DC-10-30 XA-AMR

Hi guys:

Here is one of my few new arrivals.

Shouldn't this model have the words "AERO" in stripe font like the one in the pictures? How about the bare metal cheatline instead of white? I don't know where does Inflight took the references for this model but obviously they made it incorrect. WTH Inflight200?!

I had this one very high on the list but I placed it back on the shelve when I saw the whitestrip and the missing stripe font. I wasn't sure if this DC-10 wore the scheme like this.

But I think I'm now pretty sure Inflight made an error.

So sad. Will keep the coins in the pocket.

Where the heck did they take the reference pictures from? Little details are what make difference, too bad Inflight.

I like IF DC-10, saw many pictures in this forum from other member that left, and my KLM model makes me happy, very heavy mold too.
And when you ask where they get references, looking on internet some photographs show a full title words, so maybe this happend?

With Google blocked in China and Youtube, they must have a difficult time research.

Yes, I watched those pictures also on airliners.net but their quality is not the best to determine if the aircraft had a white cheatline. What I am certainly sure, the word "aero" should be done in stripe font. I spend many years watching that livery on Aeromexico's fleet in the late 80's and in the 90's, every single airplane didn't wear the title as the model presented here.

If Infight200 has the license from the airline (I think they have it), why did they not make some enquiry to the airline? It would be first hand and accurate information.

Yes, I understand. It is a shame when something like it happens. Do you have many more DC-10s? I am thinking about the VIASA, for my second, old mold, they are more affordable now.

I asked around to be sure and everybody says the stripe between the blue and orange is bare metal.
I checked every picture I could find of AM DC-10's but no sign of a white strip.

Hi:

Yes, I have a humble DC10 fleet, I have a couple of Herpas, and all 3 Mexicana color tails made by Inflight200. Sorry for dropping the links in this manner but right now I am away from home and I'm replying to you using my mobile.

Check my gallery on Flickr.

It took me a while for me to figure out what you guys were talking about regarding the "striped aero font". I think it is a forgivable mistake, as that detail is quite subtle, even blowing up the photos on the monitor, and looking at them closely. As to the white/bare metal stripe, now we are talking about IMO trifling details. Overall the model to me looks quite well done, and if I was an Aeromexico collector, would not stop me for a second from adding the model to my collection.
