Default GJ - Lufthansa A380

Hello,
I'm new here and have a question. Why in the world did Gemini print the wings
of A380 wrong? I want to have the model in 1:200 and I like Gemini. But that
fault annoys me so much. The only alternative would be the Herpa series, but
it just doesn't satisfy me 100 percent.

What's your opinion? Is there a chance that Gemini will release correctly
printed models or do I have to be content with Herpa?

Regards
Chris

Welcome to the Forum

well i am not that familiar with the printing issues of the GJ mould.
to be honest i think the gen1 A380 mould (which was shared with Hogan) is the best A380 mould - sure it is made of plastic and there is a lack of detail on these models but to me the accuracy of the mould itself is more important than having printed details on it which easily could be overlooked if you wouldn't know they are missing. the most striking fault is the oversized APU resulting of a mis-shaped rear fuselage.

Huh, my post didn't appear. But I was too slow to read the admin message
that popped up and disappeared again.

Hi Miscuzi
Gemini's print on the wings near to the emergency exit is wrong. I've
attached two pictures to show what I mean. Perhaps I'm a nitpicker but I
can't understand why this happened from Gemini, because they did it
correctly on the other A380 models.

Hello European Collector
I'm actually satisfied with the Gemini A380, eventhough it's not perfect.
The Hogan LH A380 isn't an alternative because it's a oversimplified model
without printed wings at all. I have a Hogan A346 which will leave my
collection because of this lack of detail.

Cheers
Chris

That is such a small difference. I really don't think that changes the model. The Gemini version is really nice, beautiful model!

I think the Gemini model is really nice.

And I'm sorry, but that one little detail doesn't make a bit of difference to me.

Hello everybody,
as I said, I like the Gemini model. I have a Emirates A380 in my collection and the Thai is already ordered. But the fault of Gemini bothers me too much (nitpicker ). Maybe because the LH A380 is only not of top priority in my wanted list.

Cheers Chris
