Re: IF200 Airbus A350..."Inflight" ! Whats your 2015 first purchases!?
Yes, Gabe, an A319 today
I'm hoping to do the same when JC releases the TAP A319 and A321 ,
how amazing would it be if the plane flown is the
same as the 1:200 model!?
Re: IF200 Airbus A350..."Inflight" ! Whats your 2015 first purchases!?
Hey Rui, I suggest to delete that photo taken in the "office" at 39'000 feet. It's an offense to take photos in the flightdeck during flight; a flight safety concern.

Re: IF200 Airbus A350..."Inflight" ! Whats your 2015 first purchases!?
Nice...never seen the center console of the flight deck up close like this.
Have to say my first 3 arrivals for 2015 are the two IF200 A350...one flaps up and one flaps down. What came along with this was the JC 200 Qatar A350.
But then, technically, it was sent at the end of Dec but I received it early Jan. Still counts, right?

I don't see it as a safety concern, or even a job security concern. The flight deck environment is no longer 'sterile' at 39,000'. And while it may technically be against the rules to take such photos, airline employees tend to know which rules their employer enforces and which ones they don't. I happen to think it's an awesome photo!
Back to the OP, my first arrivals for 2015 haven't arrived yet!! But I'm expecting both polished L-1011's(EAL and EAL/AC hybrid), as well as the CX 773 and A350 Carbon Fiber "flaps down" version...and then there is a huge backlog of IF and JC releases I've pre-ordered that are a ways off!

It can be argued that that particular rule only applies to flight deck crew members (pilots) at their duty stations.
"The FAA clarifies that the prohibition in the final rule only extends to crewmembers at a flightcrew member duty station; therefore, the prohibition does not apply to a person occupying the flight deck jumpseat."

Reason: Edited incorrect spelling of 'great' and 'deck' too
Re: IF200 Airbus A350..."Inflight" ! Whats your 2015 first purchases!?
Any 2015 purchases Ed?
Yes, I had the proper authorisation from the man in charge, the Captain.
Rules apply, and I follow them.
But if the photo is somehow offensive to some of you here, I'll just remove it.
Funny, I find it that making models of aircraft that crashed is offensive, but thats me.
Im cabin crew so maybe thats why.
Thank you guys.

Totally pathetic. Do you work for this said airline? You know the FAA rules? Its ok to have a laptop out on the table tray that comes out right in front of the pilot but a model airplane sitting right there for maybe a minute or two to take a pic is so bad in your eyes? Quit trying to play airplane police man and enforcing rules somewhere you don't even have access to or know anything about except for what you read on the internet from the use of google.
As to the OP, I love the idea you used. Maybe Ill start taking my models into work and posing them with all the airplanes I work on. Then maybe FlyingDream can tell me how its a safety hazard at my work. .

I'm a fan of your photos, as you know
I have the Cathay L-1011 as the starter for 2015...love it.

Re: IF200 Airbus A350..."Inflight" ! Whats your 2015 first purchases!?
I will post more pics tomorrow, if the weather allows for outdoor pics...a "bunch" more, as requested
ps...the box is also amazing, very very EASTERN
all tomorrow ...yours,
rui
Re: IF200 Airbus A350..."Inflight" ! Whats your 2015 first purchases!?
Got both the eastern and the Cathay L1011 as my first purchases of 2015. Really impressed with their weight. And the polished parts look so good. I'm happy that inflight (JFox) released the Cathay again since I missed out on the first release.
Re: IF200 Airbus A350..."Inflight" ! Whats your 2015 first purchases!?
Some lovely birds there Rui...especially the shiny Eastern Tristar!
My first purchase of the new year was the twin of one of the last purchases of 2014...I did hum and hard about getting it but in the end I just went for it...the B.Cal DC-10 'James Watt'
which I bought from ARD earlier today!
And the two Scottish birds together: Robbie Burns and James Watt!
Also got this wonderful Asiana 747-400:
