Wow! Those are beauties. I love the moveable gate on the C-130. I hope we get some civilian L-100s with that mold, too. This Concorde should give Hogan a run for their money!

Quite intrigued by the Concorde. I'm quite impressed by the amount of detail you have incorporated into the engines.

Great, I'm surprised to see the Concorde, it was not the first plane I though as a new model. But these both models are awesome !

Marcus,

On the Concorde model, can the pitot tube on the nose be made from brass, similar to some of the aftermarket probes available for plastic kits.

This would look better than a moulded plastic probe, and would allow for a better join between the probe and nose.

The new concorde is a great news to Air France and British Airways collectors. I am sure there will be antennas on it. I hope everything will be accurate on the final product.

Please do a USAF Vietnam era camouflage on the C-130 E model. I was a crew chief on one for 3 1/2 years. LM 62-7893 was one out of Langley and also CCK AB Taiwan. It would be much appreciated. Thanks !

F-WTSA with the AF blue cheat line on the port side and the BA livery (Negus) on the star board side when the cold weather testings were conducted at Fairbanks in june 1974.

G-BOAD with Singapore Airways markings on the port side for Singapore services from January 1979 to November 1980.

I asked myself the same question. Only two major operators, only a handful of different liveries - most of them already released - and that's it... It's time to move on to historic jets not yet done in a proper way - and you all now there are a lot of them!

Concorde looks good but nose gear modification is needed. The width between the wheels is too noticeable, whereas on the real AC they are close together. It's details like this that distinguish between a realistic model and fair representation.

If you don't want fantasy models, then don't buy them.

I'd sooner have a set of fantasy Concordes than yet another bunch of Eurowhite Airbus releases (what a snore).

If you dont care for them, don't buy them. For any model, I vote with my wallet even if I express an opinion here. Most people who do comment suggest things they like, would like to see or specific problems with models.

An omnibus statement with an eye roll may be self gratifying but does it really serve to further the dialog in this message chain?

For example, I for one have no interest in any Lufthansa real or fantasy in my collection but you never know other collectors might like that line. I certainly would not roll my eyes at someone who suggested a model they wanted in order to get Marcus's ear.

This may be a possibility from the development fleet F-WTSA. Always looked very appealing in the manufacturer's livery.

An airline that ordered or even operated (Braniff for example on the Concorde) said aircraft is hardly a 'fantasy' livery.

An airline that never ordered or operated (Pan Am or BOAC 787 for example) is a fantasy livery.

In fact, I really hate that phrase "fantasy" when in fact many airlines ordered said aircraft. I'd love to see a Western Airlines 767-200 since they were one of the initial airlines to order the 767, and their logo was carried on the side of the manufacturers aircraft with others (like Air Florida as well). Not a fantasy. By definition, the suggestions for Concorde (Air Canada, JAL, etc.) are not by definition fantasy.

Still waiting on that 747-8 though

Don't try to censor his opinion. I happen to share his view. Simply "not-buying" doesn't help; giving an opinion that a manufacturer can see is actually helpful. The more time, money, and effort manufacturers spend making silly fantasy liveries, the less they spend making the actual and historical ones the rest of us need for our collections. There are waaay too many types and liveries yet undone in 1:200.

Since this thread is on Hercs and Concorde's which seem to be favoured corporately at this time by JC , it might be advantageous to start a new thread on those models you would like to see.

As I pointed out previously, what is silly or useless to one is not to another. For example, why would I care about collecting some plane somebody else has flown on..

Back to our previous scheduled programming - Marcus - How about a LC-130 Ski Bird, Can Force cc-130, Delta Widget L-100, NWT L-100 of some of the special forces Herc's?

Love the Concorde, not so much the Herc. Cockpit and nose are weird-looking and the crew door is gimmicky and toy-like. Ramp needs some work, too.

"If you don't like it, don't buy it" is a perfectly valid opinion. Do I wish manufacturers left fantasy models up to SM200? Sure. But there is a market for them and if they keep releasing them, they must be selling. Just because most collectors aren't interested doesn't mean they shouldn't get done. Personally, I would love more hybrid, merger, and/or one-off liveries but I know I'm in the minority(based on comments when they do get released). So when I hear people complain about them, taking it upon themselves to speak for the whole collectorate - all I can do is hope the manufacturers aren't listening.

Thumbs up JC Wings!

Concorde nose wheels should not be the same size as the main gear wheels. They need to be considerably smaller.

Whilst both subjects have already been done in 1:200 i'm a big fan of JC's work and would certainly add a Pepsi & SQ Concorde along with hopefully a couple of RNZAF & RAAF C-130's

Default Re: JC Wings 2015 New Project

The big question here has to be:

- is that nose ( and visor) going to be moveable?! Or just static?

Engines seem to have moving parts, can anyone related with JC confirm this?!
Looks very promising indeed.

It was the temporary registration of Concorde 214 before delivery to BA, it became G-BOAG.

The 216 was G-BFKX and became G-BOAF.

So, does anyone from inside know if the nose will be a moveable part of the model, or is it left to us to guess?! Just curious. Can you answer please?!

Very cool news about the Concorde! With antennae and little diamond lights it'll look fantastic!

the Concorde looks good, but the undercarriage needs a major retooling...
