Default Air france fleet

At the request of 727pilot, here are a few pictures of my AF fleet.
To make better photos, the models have been taken out of the cabinet but their respective places on the shelves are the same.

On picture 2, the "small things" on the right are a Piper Cub, an Auster Autocrat and a Falcon 20.

Jean Pierre.

A fantastic collection, Jean-Pierre! I don't think you are missing any AF model produced in the last 25 years, plus the beautiful customs you have built.
Thanks for sharing your collection with rest of us.

Merci beaucoup! So you found the time to take the models out of your glas-cabinets? As an old fan of aircraft from the 1950s to 1970s I especially like the line-up on picture #2.

Awesome fleet mate, flown many AF birds myself to various West African destinations over the last 10 years with work. I always thought of Air France as the 'original and best' of the Eurowhite livery and the purveyors of this simple but elegant design. My favourite AF bird has always been the AF Cargo 742 Freighter when she sported the loaded pelican livery!

Thank you all for your kind words.
Those who are building an airline fleet fully understand my motivation.
A collection can be like a book of History, in this case, it covers a period from 1937 with the Bloch 220, to today.
A few models are missing and unfortunately, they will never be made.

The Languedoc produced in the immediate post war was a very elegant aircraft, something like a bigger DH Albatross.
Not so obscure, 100 were built, some of them exported.

Using a donor and available decals, an A 300 with barcode livery is in the works.

Still waiting for a decent A 310 …

Of course, I am ready to welcome the Coronado.
I also have great expectations in the Herpa B 707-320, I know that the short tail version without the ventral fin is not Herpa's top priority at the moment, but I hope that an AF model is on their list.

Thanks to the soon to be released blank B 767-200 and -300 made by JC Wings, I'll have the possibility to fill a gap in my collection, but the winglets of the -300 will be clipped.
AF had nine of them inherited when they took over UTA and Aéromar their charter arm.

I also have some pre war aircraft models waiting for me, so I still have a lot of fun ahead of me …

Yes, these models are plastic/resin or die cast, but honestly, we don't see the difference and sometimes, when taking a B 747 for dusting, I am surprised because it is light … or heavy.

I concentrate on AF fleet, space is becoming a problem and I have to be selective, but sometimes, I make an exception for other models of great interest.

Thanks again.

Jean Pierre.

Love the old paint scheme of Air France.

They were one of the more beautiful aircrafts that had flown the skies of the world.

Thank you !

It is a matter of taste, but it's true that compared to what we see today, old classic liveries were beautiful.
