Default Interesting Model samples to share with you #2

OK so here's another one of my Samples to share....

Australian Airlines Boeing 767-300ER VH-OGJ.
This Sample dates back around 10 years now and was made by Risesoon.

There are only around 4 in existence- this is a project that I will resurrect at some stage. I've still got all of the official artwork and colours that Qantas Licensing gave me at the time.....

So are you one of the people that decides what models are made for the Australian market?

Hi mate,
I do to a certain (limited) degree.

The manufacturers who don't have any Licensing agreements with Airlines will pump out their own Australian stuff regardless. However I'll look at a subject that interests me and then obtain the appropriate license- and then have it made for me.

Then there are certain Manufacturers who won't touch a project without a Licensing agreement- Hogan and Herpa to name a couple. I'll also work with them in commissioning my own Models.

The other thing to be considered when commissioning a project is who has the best mould/ tooling for the job? Then you need to consider the level of detail because that will affect price- then you need to ponder if it should be Diecast or Plastic/ Resin??

Because of my involvement in the Airline industry, I've been fortunate over time to obtain a lot of official artwork and resources- and as a fellow collector I'm only interested in having these Models made as accurately as they can be.

Cheers,
Simon.

...I was strongly pursuing that 1:200 B767 for a couple of years now ....I only managed to track down a 1:250 version..... no luck finding those other 3 missing ones.....do you want to sell yours? .....

....yes, it is obvious that a lot of collectors want the Nalanji and Wunula models made but I'd love to see the TAA B722 (blue cheatline/tail with large white T on tail) made (plus the DC-9 in same livery) plus maybe the Australian Airlines A300 (to keep its IF200 B722 kid sister company) .......

I would have loved to seen a Nalanji 747-300 made by Hogan.
