These 2 747-400 arrived recently, they are probably not the 'mainstream' airlines, however they are famous of their excellent inflight services. I love both of their colour scheme on the 747. The ANA always look elegant and the new colour of Asiana is nice to look at too, I like how they mix their colours on the tail.

I have the Asiana too - great model - love the tail. Wanted to get the ANA too as it is one of my favourite airlines but too expensive to get both and my priority is to get one of each Star Alliance member.
Hu - your photo's are getting better and better.
Shots like these show the models up so well that it looks almost real.
Do us all a favor and get yourself some GSE, a backdrop and start making some works of art!!!!

Thanks, I got mine from Hongkong, all the usual retailers stock this regular BlueBox release though.

Yes Robert, only getting one, not a big fan of the latest ANA version and I hope to get the 400D in Pokemon and Whale colour.

Great choice, the OZ colour is a bit grey overall but the tail really brings out the character. One of each Stat member? that's going to cost you a bit, but will be nice to line them all up together

The ANA is nice but the Asiana is even better, wait until you see her in person next time!!
....hi Hu, excellent additions to your collection....both have equal charm but like the others I am drawn to the Asiana......are you getting the cargo version as well? .....I will get both to join my Asiana fleet line up.......I actually got a beaut Asiana B772 metal custom not that long ago so the two metal 74's should compliment it nicely....

I really like these two 747s... I remember when they were available for pre-order and I hopped on it as soon as I could. They each have their own charm, and like a few others I really dig the Asiana. I sure hope someone will release a 777 Asiana. A tragedy about the accident last year, but I remember flying Asiana and really liking it.
Nice model but bad mould ! With the 707 and Dc8, this mould should be remade with separated wings from the body following this configuration : body + wings + tailplanes + vertical fins. But that's only my mind, what do you think about this ?
Lovely birds! I have the fortune to have both of them, well a sort of. I got the Asiana but it is the cargo version, actually a Boeing Converted Freighter.
Too bad this airframe is being retired from airlines, the good stuff never should goes but nothing last forever. It is a real pleasure hearing the B747 passing by over my house. I live in the approach route to Mexico City's Intl. airport, ever since I have memory, I can recognize the roar of those 4 engines. Hope I still seeing them in the next years when the airport has been finished.

Yes, there flap fairing tips are red colored. I can confirm this because I have the model too. Here you can watch my pictures, I shared this model last March (wow, time flies)

It varies on their 747's...ANA actually has a lot of small variations in their livery. In about 2003, they officially became "ANA" ("Ana" is "hole" in Japanese so we thought it was weird that they would call themselves "hole") and no longer "All Nippon Airways" or "Zen-Ni-Koo" so the newer planes might only have the "ANA" markings. FYI, ANA called this livery "Triton Blue" and has been more less unchanged since the early 1980's. On the "Mohican" livery, you'll notice the DaVinci Helicopter logo...this was chosen as ANA was first a helicopter company. Whatever...
