Default My Hogan KLM 747-400 with details added.

I did a little bit of detail work on my Hogan KLM 747-400 "City of Orlando" model.

This was my first 1:200 airliner and I was pretty impressed by it when I got it. I then received two GeminiJets models and saw the added details they came with and decided to see what I could do to improve my 747.

I added roof top and underside antennas and rotating beacon detail top and bottom as well. I also disassembled the wheels and painted them in Model Masters aircraft grey. I do like these Hogan wheel sets just did not like the plain die-cast metal color they were.

I am not a really skilled modeler and this is probably not anywhere near 100% accurate but I am pretty happy with the results and thought I would share. I am in the process of doing similar to my Hogan 757-200 and A319 and will post up the results when I get them finished.

I still think Hogan offers a great value for the money and I do have three more inbound that will be getting the same treatment.

David.

Nice pictures! Fortunately, Inflight was smart enough to make a new batch of KLM's B744. I also had Hogan's KLM Asia B744 "City of Hong Kong", I really like the new mold by Hogan but I do also wish they put more details to their models, just like yours in the pictures.

Thanks for sharing!

Hey Yogurlite,

Thank you! Yes, I wish Hogan added some more details as well but then I am sure the price point will go up. I have to say though all and all I did have a lot of fun doing this, so much so three more Hogan's are in the way.

David.

I greatly apologize in advance. The above video links as I posted them do not work on Ipads, etc. I cannot edit my original post for some reason I cannot figure out.

Here is the same video properly formatted on this site to be seen on those devices.

Sorry for the repost and those of you who have already viewed it, thank you and please disregard this post.

Thank you,
David.
