Default Hogan Airbus 1:200 A320-200

Here is one of my two latest Hogan arrivals. While I am impressed with the value for the money, (I paid approx. $25.00 or so for it) and the overall appearance of the model, I do think the landing gear detracts a bit from the looks. The gear also would not stay on the model without being glued.

As of now I display my models on the gear, if you use the included stand to display your model in flight, the gear would not be a problem.

Hits:

Price/value, overall look.

Misses:

Landing gear looks and fit.

David.

Some collectors don't like the Hogan's because they are plastic or lack detail.I think they are great value for the money

The wheels look better than the current rubber ones with those silly bling-bling/chrome moon rim wheels used on many models nowadays. Also there is no rubber to disintegrate over the years. Bet if you painted the gear legs it would make a big difference.

Never thought about the tires rotting, good point, and yes a little paint would probably go a long way.

I agree, I am overall pretty happy with my 3 recent pick ups, especially my KLM 747-400. Will be buying more

I Use double sided tape to stick the gear on. Some Hogans have gear that stays and others don't, I have this model and the landing gear falls out on me also. The rear stab on the one I own also has that curve to it!?

I have tried model cement in the past to keep my Hogan gear in, for some reason, it didnt permanently keep them in, but keeps them in good enough to not have them fall out every time my i bump into my display

this exact kind:

Oldschool,

Double stick tape is a great idea! I have had to glue all 3 of my Hogan's LG, not really a big deal for me though I thought I would point it out in my video for future collectors. As for the stab maybe a mold or packing defect then...

Thanks Seluryar. I have been using Zap CA glue. The same used in my R/C airplanes but I use it very, very sparingly and apply with a toothpick, just enough to hold the part.

If one of your stabs is bent, just put it in hot water and apply a smooth pressure to correct this.
It works.
