Wink 2 triholers that any B727 lover should have

Hi ladies and gentlemen:

It's been a while since I share my latest arrivals. Last month has been very quite for me, mostly because I am studying photography and I was saving money for an external flash for my camera (Canon T3i). Also I have on pre-orders some other models that I have on hold for them, so, for the moment I just got these 2 incredible B727s.

Hogan B727-200 Air France

I have not seen pictures of these models here on DA.C and I was wondering why. The first one, Hogan's AF B727-200 "Socatec release" sporting a gorgeous retro livery. Who knows what mold was used for this model? It is nothing wrong with it, just the point that frontal landing gear is fixed (not steerable). Nice model by the way and surprised that I could found one at an Asian retailer after 5 years from its release.

JC Wings B727-200 ANA "Expo 90"

The second in turn is the JC's ANA B727-200 "Expo 90". I have a growing like for ANA livery and really love how the B727 looks with this colors. Only 240 units were made according the records. I have one question about this model. The database says: "1980s" colors. The last B727 revenue flight 27th April 1990. Japanese letters (signature of pilots, flight attendants, mechanics, ground staff on fuselage)". Where the heck are those signatures? Anyway, with or without signatures this model is a stunner, hope you ANA lovers get yours.

Greetings!!!

Hahaha.
It's funny, we both have mostly the same taste in models (and the same 727's)!

I really like both the models, although I have to admit I have a 'thing' for ANA's Triton Blue scheme.

But then, I also have a pax and cargo 707, the 727, and a 747-200 in this Air France scheme too.

Beautiful models!

I'm a B727 lover, but I certainly won't be buying either of these models.

YAY!!!!
That leaves more for the rest of us!

I do have to agree that the nose of the Hogan is the slightest bit funky, but the ANA is pure classic! A good example of a GREAT model, IMHO.

Great pictures, and beautiful lines on those liveries. Mike, why so harsh?

True that these models are very good.

My only critic is the vee of the windshield on the Hogan product : not enough pronounced, but it is a minor critic and I love this model.
This classic livery is very nice.

We have never seen again this mould, just like the Caravelle …

I love em both too, especially the AF old colors, I loved the 707 in those colors too, I was blessed to fly the 727 for Champion Air ,the 727 was my first jet, I flew all 3 seats, and I loved my time in that incredibly loud, smoky, swift, and beautiful ship !!!, so what if she wasn't efficient .

I agree, a fantastic plane, and its VNO is something I'll never forget.

A lot of fun with this plane.

Thanks for the comments, still many things for me to learn about photography. Soon I will try captures using external flash. In these pictures I was using a lamplight.

I really like these new JC's wood stands. Specially for the B727, nothing to be with that "fragile" tubular support from Gemini. I hope JC brings more T-tails, still plenty to do.

Greetings!
