Hi Guy's Picked these two new models up today from ARD. first one comes under the Blue Box brand, and is the DELTA AIR LINES "Widget" colours DC-10-10 reg N601DA its made with the new Inflight mould, very heavy, and with a polished fuselage witch really sets it of, the second one is made by Aviation200 and is a HUGHES AIRWEST DC-9-31 reg N9333 in the "1970's" colors, one of two versions available.

Super additions. When I see the Hughes I always think of Sondra Locke referring to them as "Airworst" in The Gauntlet

Have the RW D9S on pre-order. I'm a bit concerned that the bright indigo blue tittle and logo are rendered too dark and much too brownish purple, which would seem to be a risk with this yellow undercoat coming through.

Question, is it as heavy as the American chrome DC-10? If so, why is that if only the belly is chrome?? Are all of the DC-10s on the new mould that heavy?

The American could be used as a boat anchor.

Hi travsuz, all the new DC10 moulds are heavy, because they now have a solid
fuselage, witch allows them to be polished the older mould was hollow, so could not be polished, as the machine they use to buff the fuselage, would dent and warp it.

For someone who remembers RW and enjoyed their LAX-YYC service on the DC-9-30; I prefer to think of the airline as they did - "top banana in the west".

I will buy this model when available in the USA.

Maybe it's the lighting but the Yellow and purple of the Hughes DC-9 looks too dark.

I have my Hughes Airwest models (both versions) on the way. They look dissapointing with the blue being far to dark. It's a shame - the rest of the model looks really nice

Greetings All:
Long-time DACer just don't post often.
Like others I too have the AV200 Top Banana pre-ordered
But after seeing Steve's pics I have to ask if the nose is
more a beak a.k.a the IF200 CO DC-9 which hasn't been out
of its box since 2008 or like GJ200 and JC Wings DC-9. I hope not I have been waiting for the Hughes Airwest for a long time.
Any info would be great.
Thanks
Dave

Any word if there will be a Delta 10 with the all-black nose like the AV200? The little black spot on the radome is a deal killer for me.
