Default The first prototype pushback

After i make models GSE in shapeways with material Strong & Flexible Plastic (The cheapest material). I try make pushback in 1:200 base on my GSE model in scale 1:400, but i put more detail dan ability to adjust. I choose material Frosted Detail Plastic, this material very fragile too, with service shapeways super safe, its still i found 2 part broken.

The first prototype

Dimension

Ability to adjust

Up Down Cabin

Down position

Up Position

Turning wheel

All wheel can turning and one tire i not put for looking mechanism

Normal position

Turn Left

Turn Right

Open Close catcher tires

i make Open-Close and up-down catcher tires, but too small and this time not work.

Superb work mon cher, superb!

Your ball joint steering mechanism is unique and I think it's good enough for this scale. Well done!!

thank you Retroguy, actualy i dont have models in 1:200 except fire fighter plane. I love classic models in 1:200 because they are beautiful, but i do not have enough money . So i think my challenge for 1:200 its make retro GSE. If Tu 144 release by Herpa i will buy and classical soviet its will be wonderful .

Oui ... small detail it's interesting but will be difficult, for surface i think its quite smooth after paint job its will very good results. For decale i ready make because when I designed first step its 2D.

Kucing, you have to be more specific all around. Is this intended to eventually be offered as a kit, or a finished piece, ready for the display case. Once we have a better idea of your vision, I'm sure plenty of objective insight can be contributed. Right now, I'm just looking at a hand full of photos of a resin one-off piece that attempts to show a Goldhofer tug with immense detail at 1:200.

Regardless, whatever your direction, people will want it . . . it's a Goldhofer tug in 1:200. They're always hot!

Now my Goldhofer tug above started its life looking a bit similar to Kucing's. Just 6 bits of unfinished resin. The detail came as the decal sheet. Now with some imagination, an enterprising diecast firm could replicate this in metal, tampo print the windows, lines, grills, etc, and have rubber tires pushed onto metal or plastic studs, that pushed into the diecast body. THAT would be a cracker for many of us! Can you see it?!

Yes ... that realy amazing goldhofer .

This time i am only design GSE in 1:400 and put in shapeways (this my store KUCING by kucing on Shapeways). Because i dont have models in 1:200 and i dont have enough money to try and try make GSE in 1:200 because they are very expensive (my prototype i spend €23.56) .

So I chose design in 1:400 and print it cheapest material, if ready fit and good looking i can scale to 1:200 and upgrade (detail and ability) easily . Until this day total GSE design its 54, but not all ready (fit and good looking) . This example my GSE range in 1:400.

Next time will make silicon moulding to make sure my design can be replicated (no locked zones). i ready try in 1:500 like this.

this step by step :
GSe with 3d replicator 2 - Page 2 - Wings900 Discussion Forums

This technic its casting with gravity methode. Next and next, i ready try to injection methode with with different molds.

So with this solution you can make yous own moulding and replicated as much as possible with low cost.

So that my plan with my limitations . So lucky you one enterprising diecast firm could replicate yours model .

Your gse look very nice and as you said earlier that you were going to cast and mass produce them in silicone I have recently tried that on a Goldhofer 1:400 1x680 tractor you made with silicone caulk and potato starch, the first attempt failed as there were many gaps and the mould did not fill completely (I used hot glue, soon testing with resin).
