Default My 1:200 collection

Hi guys thought I would take a few photos of my collection and share with you I currently have 3 cabinets and need a few more as I have about 100 or so models still boxed up.

I am hoping to take delivery of another large cabinet however they are hard to come across here in the UAE, enjoy the photos.

Will be posting more shortly

....I could be wrong but do you have a bit of a blend of both metal and plastic within your collection? (noticed the Skymarks QF A332 Citiflyer).......and what do you base your criteria on when selecting models for your collection? (noticed multiple new liveried VOZ B738wL in there....diff.rego's?....amongst a lot of Aussie stuff).......finally, how long have you been collecting? ........

H jsjscd9a,

There is no Skymarks in my collection and no QF A332 only a QF A300-b4 which is a Hogan model. The only plastic models i have are a few hogan A300's as they are very detailed and include antennas so I am happy to include them in my collection. I also have a few Herpa 747-8's and a Herpa Iberia DC-10, Hogan American MD-11 hover have just purchased some more Hogan Dc-10' and MD-11's as I like the mould and the detail on those particular models, however out of my 500 odd models probably only 20 are plastic. And I do have one other plastic model which is a Hogan QF 747-200 which i couldn't resist despite it having no antennas!!! (the only model in my collection without them).

Being Australian I love to collect all the Australia airlines and in respect to QF and Virgin 737's collect all the different rego's if I can get a hold of them. I also really love BA so anything i can find I will purchase if i can.

In terms of broader criteria for my models, to be honest I don't really have any specific criteria, if I like the model and airline then generally I will get it. However, as my space is becoming more and more limited maybe I need to tighten up a little!!!!

I have been collecting for a number of years however have only turned to the 1:200 scale in the last 4 years or so. Prior to that I would make my models usually 1:144 scale.

Fantastic collection and nicely displayed!
I can only dream of buying every model I like. Most of the times I'm forced to say no to a model. :-/ Decisions, decisions.
Anyway I think it's great to see the collection of a fellow collector.
Thanks for posting.

Nice collection, thanks for sharing. I like how you display your models according to the airlines, I display mine with the aircraft types.

Also curious where do you get your display cabinet from? They look quite nice.

Hi cpa747,

Those 2 large cabinets you see i purchased on ebay form a guy in Sydney and they came flat packed and let me tell you it was a mission to put them together but well worth it hahhaha. The other cabinet I purchased from Showfront in Melbourne that one came fully assembled. Both are on wheels and have display lights. I have added shelves to both cabinets, however still need a few more cabinets lol

If you would like more info send me a PM and I will give you further details
