Yowser! Mr. Marcus! I salute you big time! Wonderful and beautiful photos from the master himself. I have mine on pre-order and this will definitely make a fine addition to the CX fleet I am building. Thank you for posting your CX photos of the WBA on the DAC. Regards, T7

lovely model... shame if the real life version is to be repainted...

CX have recently painted the Spirit of Hong Kong so will this be its replacement?

Would be nice to have the pair of them

hello, this model looks really good but I see a small problem, can we expect to have it a bit corrected before the release ?
this was not the case on the ANZ model (it looks a bit small )

I'm afraid it's not just the engine intake ring, seems like the whole engine plus pilon is old mould . That would be unforgivable for this once-in-a-lifetime model. Can only hope I'm seeing it wrong........ Marcus can this be corrected?

This is a stunning model indeed and Marcus thanks for the excellent shots. Unfortunately as was the case with the most recent Gemini KLM 777-200 release using a "new mold" the engine size is still the same (small) and it only had the fully extended nose gear strut, while the main gear strut is fully compressed. Oh well, that said, mine is pre-ordered and is on the way and I am sure I'll enjoy it even with its flaws. Crossing my fingers for a non-pointy cockpit.

Cheers

Model looks pretty darn good to me regardless, enough for me to order it this morning having seen the detailed photos... said issues dont really bother me...

I will probably be displaying mine on the stand with gear up inflight configuration as the few Gemini & JC 777 models I have in my collection struggle when it comes to their landing gears, im just glad to have one with the option to remove them...

Although I do hope the nose gear will be shortened, and the engine pylons changed.

Great looking model!

I just wish the engines were just a little bit larges and the engine pylons angled up a little more towards the front.

Oh yes, and the nose oleo strut was a little more compressed.

didn't know that chris. but the livery under the SOHK name used to be called millennium kids. when collected 1/400 I had 5 x 747 special liveries. Asia's world city, spirit of hong kong, franfurt studio, millennium kids and millennium bridge! would make an awesome quintet in diecast. not sure if they all 5 on the T7s though.

How accurate is the overall shape of the fuselage/cockpit/engine/pylons compared to the herpa version below?

Thanks.

I have this model also. I also have the J C Wings Hobbit 777-300ER, which should be the same mold as the new CX model.

Comparing the two, the Herpa has a more correct engine size. The shape is good, but not pertect, but still better (mainly due to size) than the J VC Wings model.

The intake is too small, and the engine is not rounded enough on the J C Wings version. I like the size and shape of the landing gear better on the JCW model, even with the extended nose gear strut. The presence of the antennas is also nice, and the new add-on sat dome kicks the JCW model up another notch.

Although I've added sat dome, antennas, and tail skid to my Herpa Model, I'm still getting this model. Although the engines and pylons are better on the Herpa, the landing gear and add on dome make up for it and it looks like this model comes with the over wing emergency exit paths, which the Herpa lacks. This model a 'must have' for me.

Only question is, when is this model scheduled to arrive in the U.S.?

The dragon logo besides cockpit sits a bit low on JC, but the position of entry door compared with nose gear is better on JC.

Just to answer peoples questions about B-KPFs future. Sadly I can confirm that she will be repainted into the regular CX livery in the coming few months (no confirmed date). B-KPB will "replace" it as the only passenger aircraft in the CX fleet with a full special livery.

So are you saying that BOTH nose gear will be included with the model?

Or is that just a modified nose gear from another model.

That also begs the question of whether they did anything about the engine size or engine pylons (I'm pretty sure the answer is 'no')

The revised nose gear is a great response to customer input however!

That is nice, but what about engines and pylons, are they updated too ? Because watching these pictures with the real plane, they don't seem completely acurate.

Looking forward to this one, engines & pylons look just great to me (just been staring at the No.2 on an SQ 773 for the past 5 hours)

Be sure pylons on this model are better than first mould, but not completely acurate, and this is same about engines. Nevertheless, a model is never perfect, but if JC Wings or Gemini can update some of these points, our models should be better than ever.

If my time line is right, this model should be arriving at dealers and shipping out this week?
