Default Some of the GJ Oct release hints

October release hints!

Dear Collectors,
Here are a few clues for some the October models which we are planning on announcing on Wednesday. Not every model has a clue this time.

1/200 SCALE

1. Airline’s top fliers have a great perk with most airlines in the US providing them with complimentary upgrades to first class. This airline had two mainline plane types that were flying around with only two rows of first class making them unfavorable for these status members. With one of those plane types recently removed from service, this aircraft is the only one flying with eight first class seats. Now that this airline has started to change out the seats in economy to the new slimline seats, the ride might be just as unfavorable with the non-status travelers in the back. Even with the comfort package being purchased, the 5-6 hour hub to hub flights might make you really feel a difference.

2. This airline recently announced this airplane will be used on a special branded route that is normally found in the north east. Unlike almost all US domestic flights these days, these flights will offer complimentary lifestyle branded snacks in coach in addition to the small first class cabin. An additional unique offering on this route is passengers have assigned seating, unlike this type of route in the north east.

3. This airplane always travels around while keeping an eye out for the hungry bear.

4. Since GeminiJets is based in Las Vegas near the airport, we always have excellent views of LAS’s traffic. This year we no longer have the pleasure of seeing this four engine, slow take off aircraft, come in and out on its long journey to and from her home.

I will work on a few additional clues for the weekend. Have a great weekend everyone!

Regards,
James

Nope, the two girls are still going strong here! It will be a very sad day when they are retired. One is currently in D check.

Do you think this means there are more releases or just more clues for the same ones?

There's also that Qantas 767 in the planes livery, so with that and these hints it looks like a very boring month for my tastes, hopefully there'll be a surprise without a clue to it.

Thought they may have brought out the BA a380, maybe that will be a December release for Christmas.

I'd say 1 is a United A319 like several others have mentioned. Until recently they operated the 737-500 with only two rows of first class seats, and have now removed them from service. Their A319s also only have two rows of first class seats.

So I think we've got this one nailed down. The question is "Battleship", "Shades of Blue", or "United/Continental".

I'd prefer the Battleship livery or the Shades of Blue livery, but unfortunately I bet we get the United/Continental....

Haven't they already done the Battleship A319? I'd imagine it will be the Merger colors though.

Not Battleship since they've already released it. Shades of Blue and I'm in, but United died for me after the merger. No thanks on anything in the current crap.

I was thinking the same - but whenever it does come out, it is sure to be a quick seller.

Yeah you guys are right. For some reason I was thinking it was a A320... But, yes I agree. I bet it's the merger colors.

I think the Alaska Salmon Thirty Seven 800 is more likely with the clue that was given. It makes sense that a salmon would be on the look out for a hungry bear, and they've already done the 737-400 version. Although I'd be happy with a California One release too.

Oh the Tulip was miles better than the Globe livery... The Battleship livery is one of my all time favorites, and the Shades of Blue was right up there too. Now United is running its whole fleet around with an outdated logo, and an outdated livery that was never good to start with!

I actually kinda like the UA A319 in the new livery, especially with the satellite hump on the fuselage.

I'll admit that the wave variant of the livery that is on the 787s is not bad, but I just can't seem to like it overall. I feel like it's just a mess. It's the Continental livery and logo with United titles stuck on the side.

I know one big reason it was done that way was to save money. Half of United's planes were in the Battleship livery and half of them were in the Shades of Blue livery, and all of Continentals planes were in their livery. So, why paint all of Continental's and half of United's when you could just paint United's.

But, I feel like they had a great opportunity to really change how people felt about United. They could have introduced a whole new image, but instead they just slapped one name on the others livery. So it just looks like a big mess to me. But, all of that is my opinion.

Continental livery was one of the best around IMHO. I'm glad it survived the merger. And I do like the wave variant too! They can probably apply it to other types than the 787, in the same way as Thompson are rolling out their 787 wave variant over the rest of their fleet.

Hmmmm.

Usually the ones for which no hints are given (based on one previous precedent) are 'the usual suspects.'

Namely, FedEx, Delta, Hawaiian, or Emirates.
And we know there's no Emirates, on reliable authority. So maybe...
