Default Gemini Delta 737-700 nose gear fix

If you do not like the the nose gear of the new Gemini Delta 737-700, there is a quick and easy fix.

The existing tires will slip right off the rims ( save them for later if you want to change the model back to 'stock') and can be replaced with the nose gear tires from a popular snap fit manufacturer's 737-700/800/900 replacement wheel sets. The whole operation should only take a minute or two.

Another interesting thing I discovered during the wheel change process is that the model's nose wheel is steerable!

Go figure. Plastic prices with a lots of printed detail AND a steerable nose wheel.

Does this model have a gear up display option?

Is there a reason you didn't say "Hogan" instead of "a popular snap fit manufacturer"?

Nice info! Thanx. If I do buy plastic again, it could very well be Gemini as that stencil detail is quite amazing. THAT is something the 'popular snap-fit manufacturer' should seriously consider.

There is. When a lot of posts started talking about using Hogan gear for non Hogan models, Hogan threatened to stop selling the gear replacement sets.

Didn't want to poke the animals.

It's always encouraging to see collectors come up with simple ways to customize their models whether it be gear items, weathering or whatever.

The gear is fixed in the 'gear down' position.
