Default Do you keep any of your airplane models on your desk?

I know that many of you have very elaborate display cabinets devoted to displaying your model airplane collection, but do any of you keep any of your models on your desk?

I currently have one model on my desk, a Hogan Wings Boeing 737-800 Alaska Airlines "75 Anniversary" livery, displayed in-flight.

I do not, but have considered buying a few Flight Miniatures to display at work.

Having no proper display cabinet, my desk is no longer for work since I'm into the hobby

I have no space in my flat so yes - four 1/200 civvies on my desk, six 1/72 militaries on the board above and a few more of both scales on the shelves and on loan in neighboring offices. :-)

I dont have any of my 1:200 models on my desk... my desk in work is in an open plan office and I work mobile so some weeks I may not be at my desk for more than the odd hour here and there...

I do however have 2 of the small Corgi Concordes on my desk... dont know the scale (maybe 1:400)... I was given them a few years ago and of no real value was happy to keep on my desk...

Im not sure I would trust having some of my 1:200s on my desk in work... To many people who may mess about with or damage...

Too many things on my desk and it is not the safest place for my models.

I am lucky enough to have two glass cabinets to protect them.

Talking Re: Do you keep any of your airplane models on your desk?

I run my design business from home, and until our recent move, operated out of a corner of our dining room. In a mutual agreement with my wife, my display space was limited to the top of my desk. Now since the move, I have my own office, but I still find myself using the top of my desk as my display area. I kinda like it. Below is a quick shot of what is up right now.

Perhaps some day my office will have a display cabinet or two, but for now, I'm happy going through the occasional rotation.

Thanks for the comment. not only the toilet paper role, I also have a small brush lurking somewhere under that table .

I have no problem walking around my small world. Just need to watch out the guests whenever I have them visited .

Not exactly on my desk. I have those too, but these are the 3 display areas around my desk.

The first area has 1/18 Warbirds suspended from the ceiling, 1/32 Warbirds and 1/200 Commercial on top, 1/400 to the side.

Opposite my desk, misc. on top, United, then American. Out of view is Delta, Delta Widget, and International,

Being nosey here, but....could you show me(us) those three 787s in detail? Are they Phoenix? House colours, right? I have received a couple of these ,ANA 1:200, no landing gears, small cockpit windows, but detailed models, and the stand looks familiar....lovely collection indeed!

These are the ones placed next to me, but like to "rotate" them now and then, so that I know what I have! most of my models are in boxes still, so its easy to forget what I have and have not! hopefully this year, a new glass cabinet, based in the Detolf but custom made will grace my aviation room, and I will have most of my models on display then....saving my pennie$ now....

Since I work at a railroad museum, it would considered in poor taste, however, my home is a different story.

Wish I could, Rui, but my models are now all boxed, ready for my move to England next weekend. The photo above was taken months ago.

I guess you were asking about these three B787?

The first two are House Colours by Herpa (no stand) and Hogan, and the last one is Vietnam Airlines by Risesoon. I don't have many B787, only an Inflight200 Qatar apart from those three.
