Default Air Canada - Embraer ERJ-190 - arrival

Good evening, just wanted to share some pics of my lastest Air Canada diecast model from the great folks at Gemini 200! I am very pleased with the model and it is a great addition to my 1/200 diecast Air Canada fleet. Now when will Gemini 200 rollout some bigger siblings = B767, B757, A330, A340? Hope you like my photos. Cheers! T7

Nice model, there are so many airlines that have to be done in this mold. The only thing I don't of it are those fan blades.

Thanks for sharing!!!

This model is beautifully made, yes, that's right, the engine fan ...

... but the rest of the model is gorgeous.

I wouldn't mind buying this model wearing the Air France or HOP ! livery.

Jean Pierre.

Yep, there was about a 2 week delay; but all is good. The day I was picking it up at TA parking lot = the exact same 1:1 plane (Air Canada) was touching down above my head!! Talk about timing.

I totally agree, 49 civil airlines fly the ERJ-190 (so Gemini 200 has a lot to select from). There was the KLM version on the shelf, sweet looking model (really like the blue, but I don't fleet build with KLM = leave that to another collector friend of mine). True, the fan blades seem a bit bland in detail; but that shouldn't be a deal breaker. You are quite welcome with the pics on the DAC for sharing.

I appreciate your compliments. Awesome that you also snagged this AC ERJ-190, and you'll be pleased once your model comes in for a landing.

Thank you, sir! I try my best with the photos and the camera at hand (wife's Canon point n shoot). You'll be quite pleased when you actually get your hands on this fine model by Gemini 200.

Yes, I agree Gemini 200 has made great strides in providing us some excellent 1/200 diecast models these past few months. I think you might get your wish with the Air France livery in the near future. Would look really sharp next to the B777-200er and B777-300er by Gemini 200.

Cheers to All! T7

Thumbs up Re: Air Canada - Embraer ERJ-190 - arrival

Lovely scoop, Mr. T7_4ever! Again, Gemini really has captured and rendered this one beautifully. Like AF340, I too would be interested in seeing this in either Air France or HOP livery for my collection.

Hmmmm...wonder if Hogan is finally going to let the other shoe drop and respond with the JetBlue 190 they sampled a few years ago...replete with all the bells and whistles that the GJ have - minus those ridiculous fan discs.

Nice photos T7! Appreciate the share.

Nice photos T7! Appreciate the share.
Sadly there is a reason why some of the big model makers haven't done B6 models in recent times when it would be a great seller. Hopefully that changes soon.

Thank you, Upkeep. There was a whole fleet (28) of these models at Threshold that day (half were already reserved, mine included). Yes, I do agree that when Gemini is "on" = they can really make some exceptional models like this little baby! Would not surprise me, if G200 rolls out the Air France or HOP models for you in the future so that you can add an ERJ-190 to your fleet!

Quite welcome with the pics. Yeah, it would be sweet to see this mould with JetBlue colors! Come on Gemini 200 = step up to the plate and bring a smile to Herb and other collectors who've flown on a JetBlue ERJ-190.

I hear ya! Just keep an eye on Gemini 200's website; your wish may be granted soon. I got lucky with Air Canada being one of the first ERJ-190 1/200 diecast birds.

When I was at the store to pick up my model. I inspected the model and was quite impressed with all the fine detailing that G200 was able to do with such a small mould. I did see the fan blades and that's why I took close up shots of the engines for DAC collectors to decide on 2 options for them (based on them collecting the ERJ-190 that it 'meets' their collecting criteria) :

1. Buy the model
2. Do NOT buy the model, due to it's fan blades.

I picked option 1. I do believe that I made the right choice. Cheers! T7

Right On! I am jealous that you are flying on the AC ERJ-190; have not yet had the pleasure myself. Go JetBlue!!

Hi jetboy787, can you enlighten us on the 'reason' for this?

Yesterday I was playing in a golf tournament in Elizabeth, Colorado, which is several miles southeast of Denver, and in the approach path to DIA. One of these Air Canada beauties flew right over us at a fairly low altitude. I was able to cleary read the airline name and such. Quite a cool coincidence since my copy of this arrived only a couple of days before. I really don't go the DIA to spot to this was a real treat.
