Default Engine painting

Hello
i have few skymarks model (Emirates 777,340-500, Thai 747) that have plastic colored engines unlike some other model like the Sri Lankan 340-300 who have metalic painting on its engines.
Is there a way to paint the engines without damaging the model ?

Hello laviru93doodle.

What I use is not paint, but for sake of an easy, clean & tidy application - I use a fine silver metallic Sharpie permanent marker. It may not look as good as silver paint, but its a trade off I happily use.
I don't trust myself with paint!!

Hope this helps!!

The engines can actually be disassembled for painting, for the newer moulds the engine blades are separate from the 'lip'. For the older models the lip and blades are one piece.

here are some pictures from my custom work. I used Tamiya Gloss aluminium spray can for the lip. I used Mr Hobby chrome silver and Tamiya Gun metal for the exhaust cone.

Before and after

Final result
