I like the magnetic undercarriage. Easy to display wheels up or down. Very Clever

agree. GJ made a smart move by giving collectors a choice for display.

I'm glad it has removeable gear. I hope GJ makes that an option for every plane they make in the future.

Didn't know it had this feature. Is GJ the first to do this because it's brilliant. I have a 1:24 RSC Models Pro Stock Camaro with a removable hood that uses this magnetic "technology" and it makes such amazing sense.

Woooo.......I love this monster and it is beautiful, heavy (really a hand full) and try holding it with 1 hand and it was wobbling in a while. Got this a birthday gift.

Anyway do you all think there will other liveries later like the Malaysian Airlines 100th or maybe Qantas by GJ?

Will have to say both the "Emirates" (removable magnetic landing gear is a bonus) and the "House" (all the airlines that committed to purchase ; fixed landing gear [no option to display in flight mode] ) are both exceptional models.

However, since I have 2 of the Emirates A380's; 1 for my daughter (her first plane ride at 8months old) and one for me since I flew on it with her and my wife = I have a more personal and meaningful connection with the Emirates A380. So no need for me to pick up the 'House', since, I don't think I'll ever have the opportunity to fly on the JC Wings 'House' version. Also, these 1/200 models are huge and for some collectors that aspire to collect all the diecast A380 models = all the power to you!! Cheers! T7

i also simply prefer the emirates one because:

1. i already have a GJ emirates T7 so the a380 goes well with it

2. the emirates livery, although more or less eurowhite, still to me has an elegant and classy look. plus i love that huge emirates logo on the underbelly of my a380.

My partner bought me this model out of the blue, I concur it's by far the most superior GJ200 and is quite possibly one of the finest diecast aircraft I've seen, well done Gemini:-)

I'd definitely recommend this model.

I like the magnetic gear too, it's a great little bonus!

Brgds,

James

Can you believe this beauty still has not reached our retailers in Australia while the rest of the world already got it for a month or so?

Almost everything comes last to down under but for some reason the GJ models are extremely late. I have no idea why.
If this model was not that heavy I would have ordered it overseas.

Don't know how many hours they worked on the drawing board and how many tests they done on the magnetic "technology" ...

Apparently the GJ supplier chooses to order via Sea mail to save costs of postage - but conversely sees all us collectors left behind the rest of the world!!
