Default HM's BOAC Super Connie arrives in UK

Well here it is, saw this on Geoff Noble's stall at a local show today. Pics not the best but they show the final tampo printing, which is very nice IMO.

The over wing walkway is still not shown correctly. The same old issue with the horrid nose wheel, but that can be fixed (see the cut and pasted comments on post 2 from the TWA review - I had deleted those pics but have posted again).

The nose landing gear door is pretty horrible. I never refitted it after my mod in post 2. My intention is to make one from thin plasticard which will be smaller as well.

I've already modified the front gear on this one. See pics of before (vertical gear) and after with sloping gear.

Cut front gear with razor saw in to 2 halves...see pic for location of cut. File some material off end of "gear door block" to allow some adjustment when refitting the 2 pieces. As this changes the centre of gravity (and lucky we need to make the gear longer) bung some evostick in the front cavity, add a layer of lead shot (from fishing tackle shop) another small dab of evostick, I use a cocktail stick to apply, then insert the separated wheel strut and leave overnight to harden off.

Thank you Graham.

The nose landing is a congenital malformation.
As for the details of the walkway over the wings , I already said to William that to make things simple, they just had to copy what they did for their Lufthansa model.
They did nothing.
As a result, I didn't buy the Air France version and unfortunately, I'm afraid the BOAC will not be successfull.

Waste of time and waste of money.

Jean Pierre.
