Default Pan Am A380 model

I did this as a personal project just to see if i could achieve a good result. It is a Skymarks Singapore A380 body that had some scratches on it. I created the windows and decals myself with a little help from a Airfix 727 Pan am sheet

What do you think..................

I think it looks fantastic! Is it your first custom? Why not post more pictures of it !

I don't usually go for fantasy liveries, but I'd buy a Pan Am A380 in a heartbeat...at the right price, of course!

I'd love to see some more photos too. The only thing I would suggest is removing the globes from the engines, that's not something the airline ever did on any of their planes. Also, the Billboard livery looks a little small, have a look at photos of the 747 and scale accordingly.

It's interesting to imagine what would have happened had the airline survived, given their purchase of A300 and A310 aircraft in the 1980s. Maybe Airbus would have become their preferred supplier, who knows?

this is not malcolm's first custom. he has done several before. but not posted pics. he also did a royal wedding a380 which was on his website. hope he can post a few pics of that and more of the pan am as well! i actually prefer the pn am a380 with the logo on engines. gives it a bit more colour, otherwise it would look a boring 'eurowhite' livery!!

Robert right i have done a few but never think they are good enough for the forum. I will do some more Pan am pics as well. The other models i have done recently are Buffalo Electra and C-46 plus diorama. I sort out a pic and post on a separate thread.

Your model is absolutely beautiful! My only criticism is the use of engine logos but to me the size of the billboard is spot on. If only...

I like the globes on the engines, even if they were never on their real planes. This is a fantasy livery so anything goes!

I would vote for Clipper Jupiter. However, I think Clipper Titanic wouldn't be such a good idea.

Well done Malcolm. That livery sits well on the A380, as would the name 'Clipper Collosus of Rhodes'

Looks very good, very well done!
I'm certain that if they were still flying today, they would be flying the A380 !
After all, they started with our beloved 747!

Naw. "Clipper Leviathan" would be better. Or maybe "Clipper Moby ****". I dunno if PA were still around that they would choose a retro livery...must try to see if someone has the imagination to make a present-day PA livery.
