Default Classic 747s left to make

The recent Inflight 200 announcement of a future release of an American 747-123 as well as it's freighter counterpart has got me thinking. What airlines are left to be made that I would buy to complete my classic 747(-100s,-200s, & SPs) collection?

The top of my list would go to the Braniff 747-100 Orange jelly bean. Next would be a United Saul Bass large title -200, followed by Northwest Orient -200.

Others would include:
Northwest Bowling Shoe -200
Northwest Orient -100
British Airways -200 "Landor"
National -100
Pan Am Billboard -200
TWA -200

SO, I'm not even close, , but the news of the American -100 is awesome!

Would love an NW red/gray 742.

Also a TWA twin-stripes 741 where half the belly isn't painted wrong...
(painting the wings and tailplanes right would be nice, too)

Re-doing Pan Am billboard would be appreciated---it's got the most errors of any release IIRC, they seem to have improved overall over the years. Get the pylons/wings/gear/stabs/tailcone/fairings right this time...

A bowling show Northwest 742 would be really nice... Don't forget these two frequent visitors of LAX in the 80's

I'd love another shot at this one as well

I saw D-ABZF in that colour scheme at Prestwick, not long after Lufty cargo started their schedules. Amazed it lasted so long without getting Eurowhited.

I too would holla for Highland Express!

You've got the parts Inflight. Now make these E-4As happen:

I would also like to see the KC-25 from Gemini, now that they've got a KC-135 boom mould, but I think the KC-25 boom may actually be longer.

Wouldn't mind British Airways Landor, Northwest Bowling Shoe and Lufthansa 747-200s either.

Other missing classic 747s would include British Airtours and Caledonian (not BCal), but I am hoping that IF don't do either as I have an Al custom of the former and an IF LE version of the latter

Jaja, good catch!. I messed them up because I first flew on G-BDXF (a B747-236B named City of York) MIA-LHR, and my return flight LHR-MEX I flew on G-BNLE (a 747-436 named City of Newcastle).

Unfortunately in 2006 G-BDXF was broken up in Kemble. I believe that G-BNLE is today the oldest -400 still flying for BA.

We definitely need more 747-300's i.e. SIA, Saudia, SAA, KLM, Varig, JAL and as for the 747-200's I support most of the above with the exception that the Kuwait 747-200 MUST be in the original thick blue cheat line livery with silver belly, not the current scheme.

I think you meant "late 70's" as Billboard was the scheme as of the mid 1980's, and it was all over on Dec 4, 1991.

I'm still hoping for a late 70's (larger, bold Pan Am titles) scheme, along with a re-release of the Billboard (I already have a custom, but would like an original Billboard too). If a late 70's isn't released very soon, I'm going to get a certain fellow in Australia to make me a custom.

To me the 747, whether 100, 200, 300, 400, 800, or SP is one fine looking aircraft. In 1994 I had the incredible privilege of riding in the jump seat of a Malaysian 744 from Tokyo to KL (captain invited me in for takeoff and landing). On the return flight I got the same thrill on the KL to Narita route including a total hands-off landing at Tokyo. I asked the captain his opinions about the 744 vs. the A-340. He responded that the A-340 was a nice aircraft to fly and well-built, but that for pure flying joy and unbridled power, the 744 was a pilot's dream.

I will miss seeing so many of these beauties in the skies above Chicago. Sure, the 777 and other current wide bodies are beautiful in their own right, but nothing compares to the look and sound of the 747 as they roar out of O'Hare and over my house 15 miles away! I don't even have to look to know what just flew over! There's an unmistakable sound as they're flying off to Asia or elsewhere...

I wonder which, of all of the these suggestions, would sell as fast as they say the American Airlines is selling? I would think British Landor, United Saul Bass, Braniff Jelly Bean, and Pan Ams would be tremendously popular. Maybe Lufthansa, Northwest Bowling shoe, and KLM too?

Boiler, I'd say the United Saul Bass would be one to sell as well as the American 747. I hope AV200 would do this release, due to the fact the price would be far reasonable in price.

I also wouldn't mind another opportunity at a Battleship gray United 747 but from AV200 as well.....

Some Battleship Classics would be great! UA painted both some of their 747-100 and 747-200s in the late 90's!

Here's the -100

And a -200 example

Inflight, if you're reading this... please change your grey used for UA. Its simply way too dark.

Default Classic 747s left to make

Keeping with the OP, Classic 747's...

This versions should be done as early delivery types.

Eastern - The first type/ Pan Am lease, not the ex Qantas -200 that was made by InFlight years ago.
National - with the 747 titles!
Braniff - with the white engine cowlings. ( only GJ 1/400 did this one )
Northwest Orient - 3 upper windows.

For sure! 747-400 also! These releases would sell out in pre-order I believe!

Stunning. I did not realize that there were IF LE 744s out there. I have only seen 741 and 742s.

Wouldn't mind British Airways Landor, Northwest Bowling Shoe and Lufthansa 747-200s either.
NOW THAT'S what I'm talking about!!! An E-4B!!! Grew up around those!!! Awesome plane! But unfortunately, they seem to go with "what's hot" at the "moment" schemes....very shocked to see GJ200 did the KC-135R!

I like your taste!! I like that 747 logo on the National, I've never seen that! Add a United Saul Bass -100 or -200 to that list and a -200 British Landor, and that would be my top choices.
