Default Unexpected Arrival

I don't usually collect 1:200, but this Hogan 1:200 Qantas 767:300 caught my fancy and just joined my collection.

First model for me for a while too.

I like the GJ version Qantas B767 much better (which is more details) but this hogan is also my favourite...You should consider to have the Hogan QF A300 which in my opinion is the best compare to this B767.

I have that version and the reason I got it were those engines. not many Hogan 767 models sport those power banks... A nice model IMHO...

Hey, welcome onboard.

I really like this Hogan mould with the RR engines. But why they don't use it to do a BA Landor version is beyond me. It'd likely be a hot seller!

It might be an idea to get one of these as the 767 are slowly being taken out of operation for Qantas. They will be replaced by the A330-300 which currently are flying for Jetstar. But there's one thing I don't like about the RR engines and that is the screaching noise they make compared to the GE engines. You'll also find that a Number of these Qanats 767's are actually Ex British Airways aircraft.

............Qantas has begun retiring their RR-powered Boeing 767s (registrations VH-ZXA-ZXG). VH-ZXB departed Sydney via Honolulu to Roswell during 11 & 12 December for storage (and possible scrapping?). Another will be going this month, and a third by June 2013. The other three will all be gone by the end of 2013, in order to save the cost of upgrading them with ADS-B equipment, and because Qantas wants to standardise on the GE-powered 767 fleet. The GE-powered 767s (registrations beginning with VH-OG.), are being refurbished, but they too will all be retired in 2015................

...........nice photos of your Hogan QF B763 current colours.....the old colours Risesoon QF B763 is not bad either and has the GE CF6 engines......just wish they did the A333 in the old colours as some of these are still getting around ....and would nicely round out my QF fleet....

I agree completely. Landor would be a sell-out. A few of the world tails would not go amiss either. I would prefer die cast, but the chances of a metal 763 with RR engines seems remote..

This was released nearly three years ago. A very nice model and now a bit hard to find. I'd appreciate if Hogan produces a GE powered 767-300ER I the 1990's livery. Thayer is a timeless classic in my books

I didn't know it was released that long ago. I got it from Waffle.
I would like to see that model released to. I have spotted it a few times @ MEL and SYD.
