Default Question re: SkyMarks Virgin New Livery Models

Hey guys,

Have any of you seen in person the new Virgin Atlantic releases by SkyMarks of the 747, A330 and A340? Just curious if the red used on them is a pearl red like it should be, or if it something different. Curious about the white, too.

Hi Guy's I have these models in my collection, so have taken some picture's for you. first of these were bought for me as a gift, so I am very thank full of the thought behind them, and will keep them in my collection, now you say, personally I would not rush out to by them, not really a Virgin expert, so Im not shore if the color is correct or not on the body's I know the red is wrong, should be a bit more of a purple red, there is no detail on the wings, just the same color as the body, they have not put the Virgin logo on the under side, and the engines were better on the older livery versions, IE spinning fan blades, all though my B747 Doe's have these, will say they look nice together as a fleet, all the same color's, see what you think.

I wonder if the Risesoon versions will have more details on the wings, spinning engines? Though the colour does seem a bit off, but great gifts and the thoughtfulness too must be nice.

Steve: I cannot thank you enough for posting wonderful photos of these models. Awesome photos! Sadly, from what I see, both the white and the red is incorrect. The white and the red should be a pearl finish, and the red should be darker. Well, I guess I won't be buying these. My bank account thanks me. This is why I do not have any Virgin Atlantic models in my collection, as much as I love the airline. With the exception of the Harry Potter livery B747, the 1:200 models are never produced properly.

Pearly white from Risesoon. That's asking too much, Randy

The pictures are great! But the colors are definately not correct. Also, doesn't the real planes have VIRGIN ATLANTIC painted on the belly of the planes?

I was thinking about buying these muself, but I think they are too expensive seeing I have to get them from the UK. And very little detail.

Beats me,but you would think at that price they would at least include the spinning fan blades.

Wow!!! Nice models.

Despite the landing on the airbus and the finishing paint, they look pretty nice. Perhaps I am getting that B747. Stevec, did you put Hogan landing gear on that jumbo jet?

Thanks for sharing.

I think one would need to see these in person before making any final judgements on them. Pics don't always show the intricate details and Risesoon has done pearl finishes on their Etihad models so I'm sure they can do this as well.
