Post a Picture of Your Favorite T-Tail Model!
In the spirit of the thread to "Contribute Something", I thought it might be fun to start a picture thread specific to T-tail aircraft! The model I'm posting is the Gemini Jets North Central DC-9-30. I like the livery a lot, and the polished belly & engines are sweet! It was a tough choice being that my favorite T-tail aircraft is the 727, of which I have the Pan Am billboard, Northwest 90's colors, and the United Saul Bass - but this DC-9 is just so cool!
Have a favorite T-tail model? Post it!
.
.
Perhaps someone else will start a different thread centered on a different make/model...

A nice 727-230 T-tail from Herpa's "Lufthansa Modell Edition"! It's D-ABKI "Bremerhaven", which was in the LH-fleet from 1973 until 1994.

Great Thread.... T-Tails are among my favorites. In order of preference -
The BAC-111
The 727
.. let me be the first to add a turboprop...
and lastly a reminder that we
still need a good new mold for a Trident!

The only T tail of note in my collection is
the only one I really fell in love with back in the early 60's. (Mine is rotation currently, so I had to 'hi-jack' a photo -- I hope you don't mind, Rui) It is the Phoenix United 727-100. I too really fancy the -100 series.

Do not manufacture 717 (diecast or snap fit). I hope the first, when
is released, whether Airtran.

The 1:200 Airtran 717 is actually made by Flight Miniatures, though it lacks landing/nose gear and the subtle detail markings found on most Inflight, Gemini Jets, Jet-X, Hogan, Herpa and Phoenix models. It's all plastic, and snap-fit. I modified the model with gear, painted on missing details, added antennas, and i can honestly say it now fits in PERFECTLY with the rest of my Hogans, Herpas and other diecast models. It's one of the few Flight Miniature models that can be modified to perfection! It's one of my favorites in my collection.

Another day, visiting the site of the Flight Miniatures, I thought of that possibility, but I gave up because I do not have that expertise as you. Congratulations! Maybe someday I'd risk this enterprise (only have 717 of the same Flight Miniatures)

I support the notion! Although my favorite would be in Aeroflot nc. And a runner-up would be the CRJ-900.
Anyway, what would the Caravelle be? The horizontal stabilizers are mounted halfway up the vertical one. A t-tail instead of a T-tail? A +-tail?

Hmm, too hard to narrow it down to ONE favourite.
Either my Herpa Aeroflot Tu-154...
Or my Herpa Rossiya Tu-154...
Or my Skymarks Volga Dnepr Il-76TD-90, with a stand MIA and thus doomed to be perpetually jinking away from a Stinger on takeoff from Kandahar...
