Gday Aussiejets and co. The SP is an awesome jet. Flew highest, furthest, farthest in its day. Had the real SPs of SAA and QF operate through Perth here many years ago on their way to Jo'burg and Harare. It was an SP double on Saturday arvos at Perth! I have both the first (standard) QF SP and the SAA. Great livery the SAA. Strikingly sharp and smart with Springbok and "mask" and orange/dark blue combo. I have the standard QF B742 as well but would give my left nut for the big sister SAA B742. If anyone has one for sale/trade let me know. By the way, I just got the Iran Air SP and it aint bad looking .....

Sounds like an expensive idea. I think I will just stick with the ones that serviced Australia. I have them all now except the last liverys of these aircraft and Qantas - Air Asia livery on VH-EAA which I heard Inflight will be doing before the last livery of Qantas two 747sp's

Nice ! I have the IF QF SP (non-Brisbane). Hope to get the TWA which I looked at the other day at the Airplane Store here in NJ. Prices seem to have gone up, asking $200 for the TWA. IF did a great job with the TWA SP. How does the GJ PA SP compare to the IF models?

I'm just wondering about how hard it became, to obtain a Qantas 747SP for a reasonable price. I remember these models being sold on eBay for normal prices several months ago. Was there such an overwhelming demand over the last weeks?

I just received my SAA 747SP and was thinking to expand; buying some more vintage cheatline 747SP. The Qantas came to my mind. Now with the lack of supplies, I might opt for the Pan Am...

Prices are definitely going up on the SPs. I got my IF QF SP for $139. Now I see the price is going up and up. I guess supply & demand the reason for the increase.

No doubt the t***s at JC will come along in a couple of years time and re-release them cheaper, penalising those of us who spent money on the first releases

That shrunk SP would be good for "Mini Me" of Austin Powers movies.

That first shot looks exactly like my SP fleet. Although I have two standards and not the Commonwealth Games version.
I'd too give anything to source a SAA 742!! That was a shocker to find and now prices are just out of this world!
