Thumbs up Hogan 1:200 Qantas B747-400 F1 scheme

Hi:

Won the bid for this babe last week on eBay for just $31 bucks. This is my first B747 with the new nose mould and it is simply beautiful . Hope Hogan release soon the "Wunala Dreaming" soon.

Here some photos:

By the way I was looking the GP of Valencia while taking the photos

Nice details, including the beacon light on top and the pitot tubes impressed.

Lovely model.

Lovely bird, though I prefer the other one with reg. no VH-OJO which was released at the same time as this. With this improved mould, hopefully Hogan could surprise us with some exciting liveries or even more QF with different reg. nos.

Also the PIA B747-300 has the new nose shape and I think Lufthansa has is too, right? Hogan must re-do the Air France and British Airways, those are models with high demand.

Yeah.....I know the guy who does the model licensing appraisals/approvals for QF. He is pretty "anal" with his eye-for-detail and expectations, but I think it is fair to say that the results speak for themselves. He tells me that QF permission will never granted to any manufacturer for release of the original 747-400 "F-1", (VH-OJC) scheme because of some awkward "third party" licensing issues.

The JAL 744 too, reg: JA8088.

I bought the new (retooled nose) CX 744 B-HUG too and I love every bit of this model.

Here are some photos of the two:

Close up of the CX 744

Sorry for the bad photo quality, guys. Taken from some crap mobile device

I also have the Lufthansa & Qantas 744 using the retooled mould and I'm hoping Hogan will re-release Air France, British Airways using this mould too. Or maybe even a KLM?

Be great if Inflight could get the passenger window line dead central as per your photties.... that JAL and Qantas definitely warrant further inspection...... again.......thanks for the photties............

TheRoyalWings, by any chance could u tell me why u prefer VH-OJO? other than the slightly different livery scheme and different reg no, what makes it better to you over VH-OEB? i just want to know, got me a little curious. hehe

Yep. Hogan has really got some nice 747 in their range. Their prices are also very reasonable indeed. I guess thats why I've 16 of them. Another good livery would be the Ansett 747 celebrating the Sydney Olympics.
