Default L1011: Sunny day pictures

Hi!
i'm new to the forum, and I'm 14 so my photography probably isn't great, but it's a sunny day
so I thought I'd just post a few pictures of some of my quite small collection....
Especially my loved Air India L1011!

Enjoy:

Jc Wings 1:200 Air India L1011:

Jc Wings 1:200 BAE-146 Air Canada Jazz:

My Favorite shot again: The JC L1011

And Finally:
Oops!
I know I shouldn't really post this here, but I couldn't resist:
BigBird 1:500 747

L1011: Sunny day pictures-dsc00362.jpg

Hop you liked! (and sorry for my terrible photoshopping skill)
I am getting a couple new ones in a few days; a herpa premium ,so perhaps i could post some pictures of those if the weather holds out!
Also, could anyone share some of their favourite in-air pictures?
Thanks!

Don't let your age be the reason your abilities are limited. Those are outstanding shots! It inspires me to want to try photography like yours. Whats more challenging is how good they look blown up, thats typically where the quality of a picture deteriorates... Well done D.

Yep, they are terrible.....

...taken me 14 years to be half as good as that...

The passenger window wing shot... brilliant...... so simple yet I havent seen that done before.....

Sorry to say, but I think your further attempts may be thwarted by our English summer..... I have been looking to take a few more after my last outside session but with no luck....

Rather than repeat the civvie posts, have a Spitfire....

Wow Agent X20: Great Picture! It's really amazing how you get the props to spin.

Lightbulb Re: L1011: Sunny day pictures

The reality is the prop doesn't need to be turning that fast to achieve the 'separate prop' effect... So a drop of WD 40 and a flip from the finger does the trick...

Hi DLinsey, welcome to the forum !
as others have said, yes, great shots, as for doing the window shot with a diecast model, where the wing is really glued to the fuselage, well, its a bit hard, as when it comes to a snap fit the trick works better
and also, the image sizes...you can upload them to Photobucket, and have them big, but post with thumbnails, or just resize them.
in Photoshop it should be quite easy, so keep taking photos !
yours,
rc

Some stunning shots there. The 'overwing' shot is very original. The BOAC 747 is probably the most realistic pic of an 'airborne' model I've ever seen, well done.

These are really excellent pics. Well done! And I'm loving the wing shots. That was a way clever idea! And something I've never seen before.

I'm waiting for someone to get clever and shoot a model though an airliner window. Those shots were very impressive and well done, DLinsey. X20, you are a master at the action poses.

I'm late to the party, but I have to repeat what others have said - the picture from the over-the-wing seat location is brilliant.

and don't limit what you think you can achieve, on account of your age. It looks like you're well on your way. Whatever your age, hard work, attention to detail, and learning from others will get you far.

the gears on Dragon Wings models are an option...unlike the bigger sisters, in 1:200, where these come attached, n'est-ce-pas!?
Gemini250 released a few models with retractable gears, which were nice for a change...reminds me of my younger years and my little Aerominis...oh where are they now!?
