Hmm. Here is another 1 to 1 comparision (with matching livery) on Airliners.net (looks like the real bird has a polished metal fuselage; and based on pic above = Inflight has painted it silver/grey? ) Cheers! T7

think you will find its because inflight CANNOT do polished metal on dc 10s. that's why aa and eastern etc were silver paint.

I'm with Searchlight557, painted grey/silver = no go.

Per robertjon5 (Inflight not being able to do a DC10) it puzzles me why this is so, because they did an excellent polished metal finish on their CP Air B747s and other CP Air birds? My buddy has a CP Air fleet and that DC-10 stands out with a 'I am not worthy' to be displayed next to my polished peers (737, 727, 747 and DC-8) Cheers! T7_4ever

Unless the DC 10 is made of a metal not conducive to polishing.

hmm. Has anyone directly asked Don (Mr. Inflight) why they would be using a different metal for a DC-10? It is peculiar why they would polish the CP Air 737, 727, 747 and DC-8, but paint the DC-10 silver/grey? Cheers! T7
