Default Gemini 1:200 Wooden Stands Question.

Hey everyone!

I'm away from my collection right now, but I just got a Herpa 1:200 model where the stand is broken off inside the model.

I want to use a Gemini 1:200 wooden stand for it, but right now since I'm away from my collection I don't have one of the stands to measure.

Does anyone know what the diameter of metal circular top part is. The part that slides into the model?

Thanks!

The mounting peg diameter is about 3/16".

The Herpa does not have a round hole underneath the belly for mounting the stand. You cna modifies it by carefully drill a hole for the GJ wood stand.

Thanks for that! I was able to drill the hole, and am now back with the collection, with a new even better looking now Cathay 777-300!

And yup. That's what I did. Worked like a charm!

Wow, you did something great with that Cathay 777 I sent you! It looks great. Sorry about that broken bit of the stand, I wish herpa would re-design their stands so the fit isn't so tight and so they wouldn't snap so easily (although I will try and be more gentle with them). To be honest I think Herpa's 1:200 widebody jets should have a more sturdy, wooden stand.

Not a problem man. I attempted to get the old piece of stand out to no avail. So I went with plan B which I think was better anyways haha

Cool Re: Gemini 1:200 Wooden Stands Question.

I have to say, that Cathy 777 looks magnificent on that stand! MUCH more respectable than what they are supplied with.

Couldn't agree more. I thought it was diecast metal at first and just looks fantastic.
