Air Canada L-1011 1960's look

I don't have the best lighting for pictures, after some photoshopping, I decided the best look would be this

Now it looks like a old picture from the 60's !

Very nice I loved seeing the L-1011 at YYZ.

I really liked that livery, even if I was not alive when it was around, I put it behind the current scheme....(most will probably disagree)

Very nice pic although 60's would be a bit early, as L1011 first flew in 1970.LOL Anyhow, I recall in 1977, while visiting Toronto and staying at the Howard Johnson on east side of CYYZ, seeing the same aircraft/airline approach to land during a thunderstorm. The aircraft suddenly rolled back & forth rapidly then retracted gear and powered up and away. Must've been some good wind shear happening, but it was a pretty scary sight to observe. I also remember hearing about another L1011 that got stuck in a mud patch at the same airport during the same storm. Pretty wild stuff.

The best memories that I have was the old YYZ days when L1011s was all around. Especially the red tails of Canada at T2 and a variety of Air Transat, Worldways and other int'l carriers at T1.
Thanks for sharing this beautifull picture "cyhupilot." Although my favorite Air Canada livery was the one just after this one (early 80's) Any Air Canada L1011 is always a pleasure to see!

I used to see them on a daily basis in YVR while working for Western Airlines in the late 1970s and early 1980s. I never flew in one, however. I flew in a lot of AC DC-8's and 747-200's though.

Nice model! That a Gemini 200? IF200? I always sort of though the L-1011 was sort of a hideous crossbreed between a DC-10 and a 727. Lately it's been growing on me though so I'm building an Air Canada one in the 80's livery as we speak. :) Thanks for sharing!

Great photoshop! What a marvellous looking plane it is. I prefer the 80's Tristar myself but this one still looks great! ;)
