It's nicely done (amazing shots too) but the cockpit windows need tweaking, it is sloping down from the mid to the last window to the side. The top part of the windows should be straight out. The two front windows should be longer as well and the middle pinch is too subtle. The level is bit high as well. As usual, the landing gears are bent and crooked that needs to straightened out. The wing joints are tighter and cleaner. Overall, another beautiful release from GJ!!!

Why are you hiding the PORT side and Top view?

It does look like a nice model, but I could tell something is not right with the nose. Googled some pics and it seems the cockpit windows are too high.
Thanks for the photos though!

Looks very nice, but I do agree the cockpit windows do need to be repositioned. It reminds me of Gemini's first 767-300 release, Hawaiian Airlines. I have the model, but because the cockpit windows are so far off, I have never displayed it. I hope they have it sorted out by the time they do the 767-200 in TWA twin stripes.

I inspected this one at one of my local stores when I went to buy the AA 777. Overall I thought the mould was good, but horrible cockpit printing. Unfortuantely just that small error really made this an unattractive model to me as the nose doesnt even look like a 767 because of it. Since this is only printing issue im not worried about it because I dont collect USairways models, so on future releases im hoping the cockpits are printed better. Gemini has had a tough time with the 767 noses so far :-) I will be patiently waiting for a 767-200 and 300 series in the TWA twin stripe and/or new colors.
Excellent job on the mould Gemini, now lets perfect that cockpit!

Default Re: Gemini 200 first 767-200 release: US Airways (PHOTOS)

nice model

* The cockpit windows are 1 mm to high by looking at a side profile
* The windows and the top fuselage have the same angle (the windows part should be angled down a bit)
----> no matter how they print the windows cockpit, it will still be off unfortunately....
* The nose should be rounded more

to sum up GJ did not reproduced the correct profile of the B767... Do they have a good mould for the 767 family ?

But I have to say that it is a nice model to have even if I am not a big fan of the B767

thks for the pics (the only thing that matters is that you are happy with your purchase )

Thanks for the comment guys, yeah I do agree the cockpit printing needs tweaking, still a nice model though, the US Airways livery is my second favorite American one after United's Battleship!

We'll probably never see a PW engine mold, so any much-requested TWA, UAL, etc model will be wrong.

Fine by me. I know it bothers a lot on this forum hearing about all the 777 engine issues, but that doesnt bother me one bit. Actually I couldnt even tell you what the cosmetic differences between the GE and PW engines were anyway :-)

The engines actually look like a hybrid between the GE and PW.

That livery fits the 767 the best out of all the aircraft in the US fleet, too bad they are on the way out, nevertheless, stunning model !

Haha that was unintentional, I chose the starboard side because it has more details with the cargo bays and what not, but I can post PORT side pics too :-)

I really love this release. But isn't it funny how the biggest recurring issue in our hobby is the manufacturers' inability to get cockpits right! Either the mold itself is off - or the printing is off. Or both! Why is that? Is it really that hard to get it right? Judging by their success rate the answer is apparently 'yes'...

Yeah I kinda of agree with this after looking at more side profile shots the shaping of the nose is kind of goofy. I will say though, that even with the slightly off nose mould, if the cockpit windows were printed better it would still greatly improve the front of that model.

Received mine yesterday, and am a bit disappointed. Nose is wrong shape - too pointy. Lined it up nose to nose with one of my Hasegawas and BANG!...that's the problem.
Fuel dump looks a little too big too.
Hope they correct before releasing an El Al or Air Canada...

Ouch!

The nose is practically symmetrical. Almost no definition to the cockpit window panes at all. Looks more like a rocket than a Boeing. No amount of tinkering with the tampo printing can fix that.

Shame. The -200 was a highly anticipated one. So many good liveries.

I was wondering why make a new tampo cockpit print for the B762 when they can use the B763 tampo cockpit windows template.

I reckon they've used the same cockpit print, but because the mold is wrong, it doesn't sit right.

I usually don't complain about defects etc, but for such and anticipated release (767-200 mould) i would have thought they would have made sure it was right. I really hope they fix it, because there are a lot of 762's myself (and many others) want to buy. The 767-300 nose is fantastic however....I'll keep my fingers crossed.
