Default So what did _you_ get for Christmas??

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all..

Santa was kind enough to bring me a Small World BCal DC-10 for Christmas. Here it is - along with a couple of other Nov/Dec arrivals.

Usually I don't collect helicopters, but this one fit in with my collection as it was used by BCal to ferry passengers between LHR and LGW: Squadron Models Sikorsky S-61N

I got some really good stuff from my family this year. Two 1:400s and 1 1:200. Since this is the 1:200 forum I'll only share that one, which is an NW Airlink BAe-146

I know its 1:400, but this big guy arrived at my doorstep on Christmas Eve after I ordered it this summer. Its the Herpa An-225 in 1:400. Worth every penny. Enough said.

Also got some nice models and DVDs

I've got the 3 widebodies news for the December Gemini releases :

- AA 777-200 ER 'One World'
- UA 777-200 ER
- US Airways 767-200 ER

The 767 mould is a success & I really love the model.
Now I'm looking forward to see a 762 in the AA & QF colors...
I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.
Cheers.

Talking Re: So what did _you_ get for Christmas??

No diecast for me this year, just a lot of other nice things. Last Christmas I got myself a lovely OC AF Concorde which is still, happily, on display!

Maybe next Christmas.

OK, not 1/200 airliner, but an exquisitely detailed model all the same: 1/144 Space Shuttle Endeavour (Bandai).

Got that earlier in the year. The most amazing model I own by a long shot!

I'd like to have the Saturn V too, but it's sold out and those on Ebay are asking silly money.

Oh my A 1:200 An-225? That would be massive! I assume that it is resin/plastic/wood. Imagine the weight of a diecast one!

I bought myself the re-released Gemini AA 777. Then my wife and I received our Christmas packages in the mail from her brother and his wife who now live in Alaska as he flies C17's at Elmendorf. He sent me a GJ200 Alaska 737-700. Normally not an airline I collect but after checking the model out this thing is real nice and will definately be staying in my collection. GJ did such an incredible job on these 737 models!!
He heard about these diecasts from me by seeing my collection, turns out his base in Alaska (Elmendorf) already got word on GJ's release of the new Elmendorf C17 and he already has one on order. They even got discounted prices on it.
