Default Risesoon / Skymarks British Airways B772ER

I realise the likelihood of finding this is pretty slim given it's so old, but I figured I'd give it a shot. Contact me if you have one to sell. I'm looking for this one specifically because it doesn't have landing gear and I'd like to change the reg. no. to an aircraft I've flown on. (To my knowledge, Risesoon didn't print the reg. no. on fuselage bottoms of models with no landing gear.)

Hi KLM4me,

Skymarks made item #SKR114 British Airways Boeing 777-200 Union Tail 1:200 Snap-Fit Model many years ago, which did not have any landing gear:

Unfortunately it's long discontinued & is sold out.

There's a Wooster 1/250 scale British Airways Snap fit Plastic Boeing 777-200 Landor Livery on eBay now for sale, shown below:

Hope that this information helps.

Yup, I've since discovered the Skymarks version and set up a search on eBay for it. I've also emailed Risesoon to confirm the bottom of the fuselage wouldn't have the reg. no. printed where the front landing gear doors would be located. (I don't even know if the Risesoon/Skymarks models would have that much detail printed on them.)

I saw the Wooster model on eBay, too, and they also produced a 1:200 scale B772 with the Union Jack flag. I've set up a search on eBay for that, too. Pity Hogan didn't produce one. They produced the 773ER only.

IF200 produced (exclusively for ARD & JetStream) a model of the reg. no. I flew on (G-VIIA), but as with other 1:400 and 1:500 scales of this reg. no., it is done in the World Tails livery. By the time I flew on it, it had been repainted back to the Union Jack livery.

I've considered looking for the GJ200 version, but it would be difficult to change the reg. no. on the front landing gear doors given they are printed in white on dark blue doors. Besides, I'm relocating to London in November and having a snap-fit of the model makes more sense in terms of packing and moving. I don't want to deal with a heavy, pre-assembled diecast version.

Randy, did you check with RS directly for a fairer chance of getting one? Else you will need to keep a watch on ebay for it. But I have also never seen a version with gears till now, dunno if it was made.

I contacted Jessica @ Rise Soon at the end of January, asking if the front landing gear doors and registration number are printed on the underside of their models that do not have landing gear. She has yet to respond. I don't think she understood the question. I've sent the email again so maybe I'll hear from her next week. I have already set up an eBay search to notify me when one becomes available. I'm to the point where I may start looking for the GJ200 model, but it too is old and difficult to find and as stated above I don't want the expense of moving a large, heavy model to the UK. Perhaps I should buy 1:400 scale and try to be happy with that.

Still looking for any of these three models (RS, SM, and last resort Wooster).
