What is the scoop with this model? I bought it upon release,as I thought it was a nice looking 727. I remember PSA as a young lad as well. Bidding is off the charts, with over 2 days to go. This will be won with a few seconds left. What is the point of running it up so early?

Seems crazy to me. It is just a hard to find model now I guess. My guess is it goes for $300 or more........

Maybe I should keep my Donald Duck one.......

I asked the seller and he mentioned there is a small stain?? Asked where and waiting for reply. His title says MINT. I guess that does not make it mint

Will be interested to see what the sellers reply is. For the money it is currently bidding at, I would hope it is perfect.....

Any imperfection, that can be seen with the naked eye, should be mentioned. If I was paying in the neighborhood that this is going for,I would expect a factory pristine copy. (no tampo printing imperfections,no missing parts.) If a stain (?) is present,a close up photo of the issue, should be included. The potential buyer can decide if he/she can live with it.

I sent him a second message to correct the listing and show the stain as he mentioned so the buyer can decide for themselves. Lets see if anything comes of it

Did he ever clarify where this stain was or are you still waiting for a picture?

Was considering bidding on it but it got too pricey for me.......

Sorry, the photo for some reason doesn’t upload. He confirmed its part of the polishas I suspected. If I won I would send it back at that $$$. Let’s see if he adds an image to the listing. At best $100 with the defect in my opinion. Anyone interested in the pic send me an email and I will forward it to you

My bigger question is does the front under the nose look this bad as well?

It is certainly not the end of the world and does not make it worthless by any means but it should not command a price premium either.

No the front is fine according to seller. I am sure the winner will be sending it back for the $$ paid

Yep, sold for a pretty penny. Makes you wonder with, what appears to be, collector demand why we haven't seen a re-release.

i would love to see a re release, but i doubt it since the demand is not there in reality. I am sure there may be 50 or so of us who missed the boat but that will not pay the bills for GJ to make a 500 run. I was bidding on the one just ending but with the polish starting to tarnish i backed off. At $75 i would be in but not at $270 for a model that is not Mint.
Will have to wait for now

Those kind of 'stains' are common on almost every polished diecast airliner model I have seen. It's a fact of life.

I think, the discussion is really about what is 'mint'.
Technically I think it actually IS mint!
Perhaps 'MINT - Factory Blemished' would be more accurate

I agree - we could use another 'run' of 1/200 PSA pink 727-200s !
Wish I had one.
But at a 'normal' price....

I differ with you respectfully. I have many polished metal models which are without any blemish. I also have a few that show the tarnish in varying degrees. To me if you say “Mint” then it means without any issues. The seller should
Have just simply posted a pic of the blemish and let the buyer decide.
I do agree on the Pink 727. Sign me up

Bottom antenna also seems to be pointing in the wrong direction unless this plane has a revere!

If a re-release of a PSA 727 was to happen,I think the pink version would be in order? IMO. The 400 scale,Jet-X example. High on my request list,is for Gemini 200,to make the Western 727's. Both the white & so called "Bud-lite" version.
